Cool Eastern North Carolina

Are there any Z-350 Clubs in Eastern North Carolina. I live on the coast near Emerald Ise and Jacksonville.

I live about 45 miles east of Raleigh and have not seen much out my way either. Well, I've not seen any 350's out my as well.

The Emerald City Z Club is located in Greenville, NC (about 70 miles east of Raleigh). We have approximately 45 members and meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7p.m. at Basil's Restaurant directly in front of the Carmike Cinema off Firetower Rd. We have almost every model Z from a 1971 240Z to a 2004 350Z, including approximately 8 350Zs. We also have members from Havelock to Zebulon. We would love to have anyone in Eastern NC come join us.

We also have several events each year including a Z car show on the first Saturday of June and a Swap Meet in the Fall. This year's Z show is on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at Kinston Nissan in Kinston, right on Hwy 70 west of Kinston.

I think there is still a Z club in Jacksonville. I believe it is called Generation Z. Some of their club members came to our show in Kinston last year. I believe most of those guys are in the Marines. There also used to be a Z club in Wilmington, but I think it has folded. They used to have a Z show at Wilmington Nissan.

Right now Emerald City Z Club pretty much has the market cornered on Eastern NC Z clubs.

Cape Fear (Wilmington) basically died about a year & a half ago when the prez moved back to Greensboro. No one from down there has stepped up to the plate to take over. McClasky sold his 350z for an E36 M3 track car - he was the only active member.

I haven't heard anything out of Generation Z (Jacksonville, NC) since the Emerald City Z show last year.

I live in New Bern, but the Z scene is mostly non-exsistent here. There are a few 350Zs popping up here and there, some in Havelock, but nothing organized.

Triangle Z Club is based loosely in Raleigh, but we have members from all over. Our meeting are in Cary/Apex at the new Bennigan's on Hwy 64 West. We've got 50+ paid members, probably another 20-25 active (but not necessarily paid-up) and our Yahoo! list and Forum are very active in the region and along the east coast. Check us out at www.triangleZclub.com

Stacy,

I thought you guys met at Chicos in Cary. We missed you on the 8th in Greenville. Hopefully things will pick up when it begins to warm up in March-April. Take care.

We moved because we basically outgrew it... the room we had only held about 20 people comfortably... when we started getting 25-30 regularly, we moved to the bar area, but it was too open. So when this new Bennigan's opened up, they offered us the private room wich holds up to 50. We've been averaging about 40 people lately.

I was getting ready for VIR that weekend, so I couldn't make it to the meeting. Found out at the track that my gas tank is leaking real bad - so tht gave me the rationale to send it to Winston-Salem to guy that know what they're doing... it's going to get some fresh metal where needed, and hopefully a roll bar in time for our April track event. I'll try to be there in March, but I doubt if I'll have my car back.

Zpirate, do you have a web site for the Emerald City Z Club?

I might try to attend an event in Greenville, or check out the Raleigh chapter, especially when it gets warmer. I probably go to Raleigh more than Greenville these days.

My 350Z probably will always be mostly stock. I'm not into Mod's that much (other than the quick stuff like filters, audio, etc.), but do like to see cars that have been updated. Do you have both kinds of folks attend?

Ztastic,

We have 350Zs from bone stock to highly modified more than mine (one member). We just have fun talking about and looking at Zs, 240s to 350s. The Emerald City Z website is: http://members.fortunecity.com/emeraldcityzclub/

It is in the process of being updated. Hopefully it will be updated in the near future. Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks Z.
Have Pics of your car? Sure it was probably posted somewhere, but didn't feel like searching.

Ztastic,

I don't have any current pictures of my car that I can link you to, but there are old ones (2003) on the Emerald City Z site under car shows. One shows my license plate which you will recognize.
