Hmmm.... should I show? It would take us an hour to get my Z on and off the dyno!

Just arrive without your bumper...should take all of 10 secs to load it up.

I'll be there.

Well, the plans I had for July 9th may be falling through. If so, I will definitely drop by.

It seems the NA cars never want to join in.

The vast majority of the cars that dynoed at the CP Dyno day were N/A cars. All calls and trucks are welcome...the dyno doesnt discriminate.

You know I was talking about VQ powered vehicles. The NA 350Z owners just like to sit back at watch.

It's becuase there are very few Z's that attend these type of events. Last time, there was one blue N/A Z, and he dynoed.
I we can change this, and get more VQ's involved...Z's, G's, and M's and A's.

So how is the new dyno there and how does it compare to a Dynojet 248c?

The Dyno Dynamics load based dyno is state of the art, and far superior to your standard dynojet. It was a much faster sampling and datalogging rate, and its easier to tune with VERY good precision. Load based dynos are better for tuning, since you can hold the load on the motor, instead of passing through the load point. You can also set the ramp rate, to precisely duplicate the load your car would experience on the street.

In terms of numbers, the Dyno Dynamics dynos read 13% lower than dynojet, so CP and most DYNO Dynamics operators will add a 13% correction factor in order to match dynojet numbers. We've test this on a few cars....and determined that 13% is nearly spot on, and makes for a good comparison to dynojet numbers.

Just a quick question for you all, how do you schedule the dyno. Is it first come first serve? I'm thinking of coming down from Winston, but I don't think I want to stay till midnight. Can you give any more details? Thanks.

It is a first come, first serve signup. So if you can get there early..like 7pm or even 6:30pm, you should be one of the first to dyno.

Last week's dyno night was a HUGE success. There must have been at least 150 cars of all types in attendance..and well over 200 people. CP has a huge parking lot, and it was completely overrun, so we had to use overflow lots across the street. It was total mayhem..and great fun!

Next one will likely be in Aug...I'll post something up here once its announced.

There are also some tentative plans for a Z meet in middle Aug...so stay tuned for that as well.

Yes there is. Carolina Z Club's Z Jam. There is a seperate thread on it with all the details.

I hope to make CP Racing's next event as well.

Sharif, if CPRacing is planning a Z event, let's talk. Might be worthwhile to coordinate it with ZJam. Maybe have it that evening after the car show has ended. I know those of us helping put on the show will be pretty beat, but I'd still come out. And, it may be a good excuse for anyone else who is in from out of town for ZJam to do something else that evening. Call me.
