Yea, I just called and they are all booked up. Looks like it will just be a day trip for me most likely then. Get up early on Saturday and make the trek from Hickory.

 

I think I rented a cottage, with two bedrooms...or two beds..I really dont know. I think Machupo is sharing with me...but if we have room, you are more than welcome to crash on the couch or something...we can play it be ear, based on how the room is allocated.

I will be there for the day on Saturday. I am coming up with my buddy in his 00' frc corvette.

Couple guys from got-z are bringing a grill and I bought a boneless strip yesterday. We'll be grilling at someone's cabin. Should arrive around noon on Friday. Look for the Ultra Yellow with the flag flames.

 

This should be a fun event (technically my first Z specific event), plus from years of mt. bike racing I have fallen in love with Fontana.

Sharif, hope you still have some possibly ideas for my next mods

 

I wish I could, but Ive got to work. I would love to see your car sharif!!!!! I might have a little time on saturday to pop over, but thats a long drive for just being there an hour or 2.

 

Sounds good. If anyone wants to caravan with me from the Charlotte area, or anyplace on the way, I'd be happy to meet up.

 

If Fontana Village if full and you want to still come for the weekend, try Tapoco Lodge. It's the closest lodge to Fontana Village (about 10 minute drive) and is right at the bottom of Tail of the Dragon.

 

What day/time are you planning on going? I was thinking about going up for the day (I didn't make any arrangements to stay anywhere). I was looking for a caravan on the CarolinaZClub site but they didn't mention one anywhere. I recently met some of the members during their meeting last week but I don't know who's going when or where. I assume some of them will be driving together though.

Ok. I'm planning on going to NC State for the game on Thursday but I can leave there early Friday morning and meet up with you in Charlotte. I'll probably need that coffee by the time I get back . Would you like to just meet at Starbucks (which one btw? I've only been to the one on East Blvd. across from Bricks)?

Due to brake failure, Pam won't be able to attend so there will be an available bedroom at FVR, for Friday and/or Saturday night. Pm if interested.

 

So what are you guys planning on doing on Saturday. I'm going to Hickory on Friday night then driving to Fontana Sat. morning and I won't be able to get up there until between 10 and 11 a.m. (sometimes living in Raleigh instead of Hickory is a hassle). I just don't want to get there and no-one be around

 

Well, cell phones dont work very well at all up there...we'll be at the Fontana Village...look for the cars...or out cruising around. I normally dont drive for more than 1 hour before heading back to Fontana to check in.
