Hey guys, gals. My wife and I are both tired of the NY taxes and weather and are considering a move. We are considering the Jacksonville area (Duval county). I was wondering if any of the members that live around there can tell me what it's like there..pros and cons. We travelled there last year but spent most of our time around Amelia, Cumberland Islands and Ft. Lauderdale so we didn't get to see much of Jacksonville. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I went to school down south and loved the people and the weather. People up North are as nasty as the weather up here. My wife and I are only 30, so I was thinking that it would be easy for us to change jobs. You guys don't seem too inviting.

try the north/south carolina border, it is cheap and you still get beaches and golf.
