article didnt say anything about emissions testing on cars on the road now, it says 2009 cars and SUVs

They used to have emissions in Florida in the past. I remember every car I bought and sold had to pass emissions.

While I am all for cleaner air, does this mean that people in Florida will have eventually have the strict CARB restrictions that make 99% of the FI kits out there illegal in California?

They're illegal in all states if not carb approved. California looks to be the only state enforcing the laws.

If Crist wants a second term, he better not have emissions testing.

Yeah there is nothing in the article about emission testing just the fact that they want to force the new cars comming out to be cleaner. They will probably go after industry as well as well as government vehicles.

I do not see them going after the regular consumer any time soon since the overhead to get all the testing sites etc would be expensive and take time.
