I've been told you should change it after every track event, but for normal driving it will last for a long time. You just have to watch for discoloration over time.
Also, I started using ATE Superblue for its higher boiling points, so hopefully my brakes are a lot stronger this time around.

I wish this was on the weekend. Any hopes in getting one on a sat/sun in the future?

Sure if each of us can have a free copy of your CD when it comes out haha. I am positive we will have another one sometime soon but it is also more expensive on the weekends you just might have to call in sick one day it will be worth it

It is $900 more for the weekend, but I heard a couple different groups discussing another track day in February - so if you used some record deal money to pay the difference I'm sure you could convince them to do the weekend

I've been changing mine out with Motul RBF 600 after each track event. I'm really hard on the brakes and typically get pretty mushy feel at the end of the day. I'd love to get some new StopTech calipers but between 4 mortgages that ain't happening anytime soon.

For those discussing pads - the Carbotec pads are great. I've been running the bobcat pads on the street but hear the track pads (XJ8/XJ10 I think is the model num) are just as good. I've been using up a pair of Ferodo 2500's at TGP the last 2 times I was there based on a suggestion from Sharif and have been pretty impressed with them as well.

Just remembered I had 2 vids from the last time I was there. Car was handling like crap - alignment problems, had just put the Hotchkis sways on the night before and they were WAY not set right for me, and brakes were like marshmellows - but if you wanna see what the tracks like for those that haven't been here ya go.

I've tried using Wilwood 570°F at Rd Atlanta three weeks ago, don't think made any difference from OEM . Brakes still start fading after a few laps.

I really hope this Brembo set I got off ebay for cheap, is not another one of my recent "disputed charges"

Great deal, hopefully that works out for you.

That seems unusual that it faded just as quick with performance fluid. I've got brembos so they should be more resistant to fade...and if they aren't up to the task, I will get ss lines and slotted rotors if I plan on tracking it more often.

Have the Brembos ever failed on you?

Check out Walmart (seriously). They've got helmets there rated with the necessary DOT/SNELL rating which aren't too much money ($60ish).

$500...your friend is full of it.
A good motorcycle helmet is $300-400.

I don't have everyone's email address, so I will just make announcements here

Everyone must have a helmet - I believe DOT approved.

Yeah... I went to a motorcycle shop and got mine like a retard. About a week after I shelled out $240 I was at Walmart and happened to wander by them on the shelf. Was kicking myself the whole way home.

I got 2 Icon motorcycle helmets brand new off of ebay for $120 each, but it looks like I will have a passenger most of the day.
