I just looked up the Gerogia statute for you and it says "40-8-23.
(a) Every motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, and pole trailer manufactured prior to January 1, 1954, shall be equipped with at least one taillight mounted on the rear, which when lighted as required in this article shall emit a red light plainly visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear." also here is the link for you.. You two Georgia guys might find it ineteresting. http://law.justia.com/georgia/codes/40/40-8-23.html

cops always get behind me run my tags then just keep it moving... I only had one cop say something and I think he was just hatin because I was eating a mcgriddle in the micky d's parking lot and he was just staring at my car front to back then said "sir out of generosity those tail lights are illegal you need to peel that off" I said ok when I'm done eating I'll do it then I finished my sammich and drove off and looked at him while I left I don't think they will mess with unless they want to go out their way to be an *******...
