I have an 05 with 44k on it. I have been to/called most dealers in the area. They all tell me they will not fix it under warranty. Where did the rest of the SE go to get it covered under warranty? FWIW I am in St Augustine, Fl. In reference to NTB04-065b.
Future reference for you... Take your wheels off and get someone with an air gun and have them re-tighten the axle nut. That should solve your problem.
The axle clicking shouldn't be an issue of a loose nut, its from the type of axle grease that was used from the factory. The dealership should replace that for no cost at all. That was my issue with axle clicking in my car and as soon as i brought up issue the shop fixed right away. call nissan corporate and talk to them if the dealerships are saying they won't fix it, thats just ********
just my 2 cents
oh yeah and i was in Tampa at the time i got mine fixed
Spoke with Nissan America after 1st dealership turned me down. They turned me down to. Told me it's not covered by the powertrain warranty as it is an adjustment rather then a replacement.

I was told the same thing. They said its not causing any damage so they won't fix it unless i pay for it.
If the dealer won't fix it, take the car to a tire place. Have them use an impaction gun on the axles after they grease them. The sound will go away. Works like a charm. Shouldn't be more than $150.

How many people have been successfull with this method???
Just got mine done...tightened the axle nut and greased....fixed for free under the powertrain warranty. Would be a bit of a drive for you to come to Illinois though.

I went to 2 dealers in south Miami and both refused to do it under powertrain warranty... i even got NIssan USA involded and they "investigated" the situation and then said since there is not "part being replaced and it is just labor that it does not qualify for any warranty"...
