Question Thinking of moving to Charlotte...

What's up everyone? I'm getting ready to finish a ~7 year stint in the military (~8 months left) and would like to attend school when I do so...I've been checking out UTI and the Charlotte campus caught my eye. Just wondering what everyone thinks of the area. I'm currently a mechanic...Would getting a job there be difficult? I'd be needing some way to pay my bills while I complete my studies

This.

I graduated from UNCC. The campus has really grown in the past 2 years. They have a really good business school. The economy is ok ... for the time that we are in. Plenty of foreclosures if you are looking to purchase. Just do your research before moving in though.

Crime in certain areas can be pretty bad. For instance, Hidden Valley Kings are located here. www.cmpd.org is our local law enforcement website. You can find crime data maps there.

There are plenty of things to do though if you are in the night life scene. Tons of clubs, bars, etc... The weather is pretty decent most of the year. Summers get really hot & humid though.

I go to Charlotte all the time to catch metal and punk shows so if you like music there are 2 decent venues in the area. Other than that I have no idea

its the south carolina people coming up here going 20mph under the speed limit and pulling out in front of people that you have to watch out for...

to the OP:

if your trying to get into a dealership most are located on Independence Blvd and South Blvd. Charlotte is a little spread out but if you relocate near one of these areas you will have a shorter commute.
