I have a dealership in Miami selling a black, touring, 6speed, with 14.4k for 29.5k... The car looks good and drives well, but I can't pinpoint whether this is a good deal or not? Can anybody offer me some feedback on this?

I was just reading that thread. do you think there is a price at which the car I mentioned would be an absolutely irresistible deal? Or is buying used simply a bad deal regardless?

 

my opinion, you need to pay no more than trade in value +500. just remember, they screwed the previous owner, no need to screw you too!

 

interesting point.. according to blue book it is worth 28100. So right now I am paying 1400 above trade in value. Maybe they will come down more. I also got them to agree to pay 4k for my old, gasp!, 98 Ford Taurus(Carmax was offering 2800) which brings my costs down slightly... Although i signed the bill of sale for financing purposes(my bank required it) I can walk away and look for a better deal. Patience is a virtue

 

no, there is a ppw touring with nav here in wilmington, nc w/ 2k miles for $28.5. The dealer said he would take less.

 

Dont go by kbb trade in they use a different book my guess is they gave the guy about 25-26 for it a good deal would be 27k for the car.

 

we have one here at my store with 5k miles for 28,995
silver touring. the car would bring 27500 at the auction.
