Formula Drift or Formula D has been created to provide the highest level of drifting competition in the U.S. This inaugural season will consist of 4 rounds cumulating the crowning of the first-ever U.S. Champion.

Created by Slipstream Global Marketing, the company that brought D1 Grand Prix USA event. Known for setting the precedent and progressive ideas, Slipstream with the partnership of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) will create a competition rulebook, first of its kind in the World.

We invite you to come out and take part in watching motorsports history at its first event held at Road Atlanta. There is also a car show portion at this event which include all makes and models of vehicles including Best JDM, Best Honda, Best Nissan, Best Car Crew etc... sorry 1sickZ, didn't check the boards yesterday.

I got just about the whole thing(Sat.) on video. And let me just say, WOW.

Two 350Zs(one with an sr20 motor, both very impressive)
two vipers(oh my god)
new GTO(very impressive)
a bunch of silvias and 240s(some incredible)
corollas(driftable but not too impressive)
rx7s(not to impressive)
and a miata(good driver, bad car)

It was a great show, I hope we get more drift shows here soon. A drift clinic would be great to have also. I know a couple of people who would sign up in a heartbeat, including myself.

 

And I almost forgot about the 3 Cobras(nice to see them out, but I'm not sure they were set up to drift)
