Hello Everyone. Ive never posted in this forum before. Usualy hang around in the general forums. Anyways, Im out of the country at them moment but will be back soon. I would like to have a meet and drive with as many Z cars that we can get together. I live in Farmington, NM but can drive just about anywhere that's not to far away. Im thinking somewhere in ABQ to meet at, like Hooters or something. Checkout each others rides in the parking lot, have some hot wings, look at some tail, and have a beer. 1 beer wont hurt you. Nothing formal just like a nice luncheon with some friends. Then a short drive around abq or up the canyon, nothing to far, just a nice 4-5 hours all together with lunch included. It would be fun. Anyone interested or have any other ideas or any other type of meet in this area let me know, im down with anything, as long as I get to check some other Z and meet some new people.

Would work for me! Should be driving my "Z" by then. You will be putting on all the miles, so would probably be better for you to pick the day in April.

 

Well one response aint to bad for just beeing posted today. I can literally meet any day of the week in April, after the 15th on. I would assume most people have jobs during the week so maybe on the weekend would be best. Im game for Sunday the 17th of April, or maybe Sat or Sunday the 23 or 24th of April. This is not a real formal large meet with prizes and money and stuff, so no real comitment is neccasry. Just be nice to seee how many people we could get together. Maybe when It gets closer to those weekends we can really see if this will be do-able. I dont mind driving and spending the day in ABQ, but dont want to go all that way if its a real small turn out like me and 1 other Z, know what I mean.

Barzten, Dont you bar tend at Elliotts? Ive never been there and dont know where it is but Im sure I can find out from you. I dont care where we have the get together really. Elliotts is fine by me, just want to see some bad azz Zs. Living in Farmington, I dont get to see any nice 350z. We have like 7 in town all touring or base, no mods. 4 of the 7 are female drivers that bought the car for the color. lol. It would be better for me to meet after the 16th. Any day after that works for me up until the 24th. Lets keep posted, tell your friends we are trying to get this together. BEN

Elliott's worked out VERY well last time. Plenty of parking without too much competition with Sunday patrons. Lets hope my "Z" is up and running by that time. If so, Jason knows I will be there!

Here is the list so far of good possibilties of showing up. Lets get just a little closer and plan a date everyone can be happy with. Since I will be driving to ABQ I will deffiantely check this board a day before and make sure everyone is going to show or I may cancel as that would be a wasted 400+ mile day trip for me. I was thinking show up at Elliotts around 10:30am, meet and greet for a while, have a beer and get some lunch, take a nice drive around for a couple hours then shut her down before 4pm or so. Any other ideas are more than welcomed as I have never been to any kind of car meet in my life. BEN

You are on the right track! But something you might be interested in when you are back on the streets of Albuquerque. Speaking of that, when will you be back on the streets?

 

Just talked to my shop today...they are finishing up my fuel system today...my forged/built motor is back in my car already, all hooked up...sooooo...based on the flow chart i have here...hmmm. follow the x and y axis...my car should be running by THIS FRIDAY!!!
I should take delivery early next week!!!

that will be a 4 month project..but well worth it when i get her back

 

Just caught this thread. I'm a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at UNM in Albuquerque, my '03 Track is stock except for NISMO exhaust. Pretty measly compared to the rest of you, but my real passion is motorcycles (Ducati, Aprilia, etc.) I've met SungNamZ but nobody else. You're all probably younger than me (57) but that's OK. The wife and I will be out of town April 22-24 (trip to Pagosa Springs in the Z with no kids!). Cheers!

17th works for me as long as its good for all. Elliott's will definetaly be the place. Perfect conditions for a meet. Believe me, there will be at least 15 or 20 Z & G's.
