Default Anyone for a Drive this Sat.?

Looks like it's going to be 60+ degrees Saturday. Not sure if anyone's up for it but would anyone be up for a little get together or short drive?

I know the mountains are out of the question, but a lower elevation drive may be fun, or just getting together to have some lunch and a beer somewhere.

Let me know if anyone has the time or interest.

I'm up for lunch and a brew, if we can find somewhere showing the playoffs.

+1

Also, we should consider going to ecstaz's bar: "I have a bar on the corner of I-25 and Arapahoe Rd called Finn McCools, if you guys wanted to have meets here I would take 20% off everyones bills (excluding happy hour). Oh and P.S. we have a big parking lot. Well anyway let me know, Jeff"

I'd be down to meet up but I can't break away from work till around noon. I just got my Borla TD delivered today and my test pipes should be in by the end of the week. Anyone wanna make a few bucks helping me install cause I don't have any tools, etc. I could pay a shop but would rather work with another z enthusiast.

I may be down for some lunch this Saturday. I need to see if I'm free. Just let me know when and where. I'll show off my "Surbaban Driving Soccer Mom Not Paying Attention to Anything Else on the Road" dents. Thanks Brian for setting it up.

thegr8one99: Congrats on the exhaust. I'd be interested to see how the test pipes sound and if the whole car smells like gas afterwards. I have a Stillen and it took about 3 hours for me to do it myself, but it was a used one and I had a few issues. The exhaust isn't a hard install, but it just takes a lot of crawling around under the car. Let me know if you need some help, my schedule has been a little busy.

Call my buddy Tobi and tell him Brian Mudd sent you, I know he would be happy to do it. Although he is a Honda expert and huge honda enthusiast, I know he knows the Z's just as well. Ask many of his satisified customers, some of which have posted on this very thread. Labor rates are very reasonable too

I'm glad we have some interest. My hope was to be home by the start of the 1st game at 2:30 as I can't miss football under any circumstances. Plus I have a few people coming over to watch the games and then play some poker after. If anyone else wants to they are welcome to stop over, the more the merrier. The only bad thing is that they are on ABC, which I can't get in HD thanks to KMGH cahnnel 7 having the weekest digital TV signal in the modern world.

BTW......congrats to Gary and the UT fans here, I almost called you last night Gary after the game, but thought you might be too drunk and happy to talk. I was at the Hooters by your old house on 120th watching the game, had to be the loudest and wildest bar crowd I have ever seen watch a football game. Was a great night there, even though I had no team affiliation. Plus it was "Naughty School Girl Night" at the Hooters which made it even better. I hope the NFL playoffs can live up to these last 2 bowl games, the Rose and the Orange, IMO the 2 best football games I have ever seen.

As for the meet, why don't we meet up for some lunch at that Finn McCool's place and maybe shoot the **** for a bit if that's cool with everyone else. Maybe around 11am at their parking lot?

Let me know.

It's on the SW corner of I-25 and Arapahoe Rd.
A bit tricky to get into from what I've seen, but you should be able to go west on Arapahoe from I-25 make a left at the 1st stoplight and then left again. It sits next to a bunch of other chain restaurants in that area.

Hope that helps

Thanks Brian. That was a GREAT national championship game to watch, and having Texas come out on top made it that much better. I have never been that excited after a sporting event. Hook 'em Horns! Had you called, I would have been happy to talk, but I'm not sure I would have been able to say anything too intelligible! Sounds like you had the perfect evening, too...watching a great national championship game at Hooters on "Naughty School Girl Night". Sounds like a party to me.

As for the meet, Finn McCool's at 11 am on Saturday works for me (if I can find the place).
