Just a heads up too everyone....Temps are gonna be mid 60's in southern CO on Sat,should put it around 55 in the mountains.....I took a ride through there on Wednsday and roads were clear and not even any snow on the ground......

if you guys were headed north or even west of co springs id go but thats just to far. I live north of denver. We should plan a Drive to Blakhawk/Central City and gamble for a few sometime soon. that would be cool.

 

I'll be headed up north sometime in Feb. Headed to Mac Autosport in Parker to get re-dynoed. Keep an eye out for that.

Morning guys & girls!!! Who all is coming this morning? Meeting at the World Arena @ 12pm and on the road by 12:30!!!

 

We might have to catch you on the roads. Keep an eye out for a Sunset Z and a silver Miata (my younger brother is taggin' along). My GF has an appointment that might keep us from meeting on time, but Im sure we can catch up.

BTW: Here is the whole route I planned:

-From World Arena take Cheyenne Meadows to Nevada / 115
-Take Nevada / 115 South to Florence
-Turn Left at first (1st) traffic light onto CO-67 / Main St
-Turn Right onto CO-96 in Wetmore (Follow Signs for Castle)
-Turn Left onto CO-165 / Greenhorn Hwy. (Bishop Castle is 12 miles)

Return Trip:
-Take CO-165 North toward CR_361 / Ophir Creek Rd.
-Turn Right onto CO-96
-Turn Left onto CO-45 / Pueblo Blvd
-Turn Right onto US-50
-Take US-50 to I-25 North

 

Well no one showed up & I didn't stop for any pics. The Castle was a bit of a disapointment. Keep an eye out for the next one. Thinking of doing a Dyno Day at Mac Autosport.

 

Sorry that no one showed up. We made the drive too - about an hour behind you I think. Why were you dissapointed with the castle? Did you talk to Mr. Bishop? He's a hoot - gave us a lesson in government and civis while were were there (standard procedure if you run into him).

 

Sorry to hear that your drive was a bust. But it was good to see someone on the south side take the initiative and try to set something up. We've been doing summer drives in the Denver area for a number of years and had mixed results. Hope you'll consider doing our HPDE at LaJunta next month.

 

We'll I'd like to try to get eveyone going to every meet. I don't mind the drive up north and would like to see the the Northern Z drive down south. I have even drove to Loveland for a cruise (In my Evo).
Link/PM me the info on the LaJunta day and I'll see what I can do.
I was also wondering who would be interested in a Dyno Day? I know I can get something worked up with Mac Autosport (http://www.macautosport.com/). Most likely $45, 3-pulls w/ A/F Ratio.
