I went last night. It was alright. I was hoping to get close to and sit inside exotics (as I'd heard), but they are all off-limit. I also wasn't too impressed by the overall selection of cars there.

It is worth the $10 admission of course, but be prepared to mostly see the cars from the outside only...something you can do anywhere. Except the exotics, nearly all cars ARE accessible, but the crowd is so big that you'll have to wait a while for your turn to get into cars to check them out. Even then, others will be breathing down your neck to get out so they can do the same.

Also, a surprisingly small number of manufacturers have external power supply for their cars at the show. Everyone else has simply no power to their cars whatsoever. So you can't even check out interior lighting, gadgets, etc. What's the point of a show if the cars are even showcased correctly?

I just didn't find it all that impressive, that's all. May be my standards are too high.

Went to the Autoshow last night. It was pretty cool. The last time I went to the Denver Autoshow was about three years ago. From that I was just expecting to see pretty much a bunch of show rooms of just the major car companies. This year there were a bunch of Concept vechiles and a few exotics. To name a few:
Aston Martin
Lotus Extige
Bugatti
The “New” Mortons
Noble
Ferrari of Denver
The Porshe Cayman
FJ Crusier
I would say definitely worth the ten buck. It was crowded and I was only there about an hour. I would say I could have been there another hour though, but we got there late.

Took some pics.

Oh they had one 350z there. A 2006 Interlagos Fire Roadster. That color is...interesting. The small interior changes as compared to my 2003 were pretty nice. Not huge to make me want to trade in and upgrade, but nice enough to go, I wish my door handles were like that.

My buddies and I decided to go again this year and check it out. Easily worth the ten bucks. The Veyron was cool to check out in person, as were the Ford GT's, the concept Challenger was very cool and Jeep needs to build that Gladiator truck concept. THAT was my favorite as I could easily see myself buying one. The Lambo's were much smaller than I though they would be and the Challenge Stradale was freakin' sweet. It was fun to get inside and pop the hood on a lot of new cars. The new subies are absolutely hideous and the new GTi is too expensive for what you get, but pretty nice all around. They were giving out "unpimp your ride" shirts, which was pretty funny since the actual "pimp your ride" from MTV was on the other side of the auditorium. The "tuner" cars was new from the last time I went and there were some well done rides, and some that were so over the top as to be stupid, like the Ford Yeti they brought in with a F650 lifted 5 feet off the ground. I got to sit in and check out the new Z06 and the new Ford GT500 looks good. All in all, a pretty good time.
