Default Got My StopTech Kit! (Pics)

Woot! Woot! I got my brake kit today!!! Ada sent me pictures:

Can't wait to get home and get this installed!!! I'm now researching track day pads: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/213019-non-brembo-track-day-pad.html Thanks to GaryM05 for already giving his advice on them! I'm leaning towards the Cobalt Friction Spec VR in the front and the GT Sport in the rear.

Now I just need to get home to order my TurboXS package.

Looks like nice stuff. I should have done rotors as well when I did my upgrade.

Well we'll see how well they do. Like Gary said in the other StopTech thread the biggest upgrade is most likely the lines.

Awesome! Did you install the kit yourself? If so, how hard/long was the install? Looks pretty simple to me. I've done my breaks many of times just not brake lines. Has the breaking improved?

Will do! Once I get home I have 2 wks of R&R so I'll have some time to install and test them out on the street. Can't wait to get some track day pads and test it out on the track.

All we need to do now is modify your suspension. Just tell Ada it's a matter of safety, or have you already used that excuse on the brakes?
Really, it looks like a good choice for your brakes, and I'd be happy to lend a hand with the install if you'd like. Tell Ada "hi" for me, and let her know the baby and Becckie are doing well. I can't wait to go on a fall drive up in the mountains and check out your car when the UTEC, brakes, and everything else is done. Should make for some good lap times too. Take it easy,
Will (very jealous)
Thanks bro! I'll definitely be calling asking for help. Have another buddy (Evo owner) that want to help out as well. Glad to hear Becckie & Isabel are doing well. I bet Isabel has grown a lot since the last time I saw her. Ada is doing well and I'll tell her you said "Hi." Might need you help on the suspension stuff. I'm sure she'll go for it but need the save the money first. There was a guy selling his Koni's and Eibach springs for $500 or $600 but I just don't have the funds right now. We'll definitely hit up the mountains. I have a couple buddies (Evo, STi, S2K, etc...) that want to that. Also don't know if you know there is a new shop in the Springs that has a dyno. So I think I'm going to check out this place and might start using them. Saves money and drive time to Mac, we'll see though. Stay in touch brother!!!

Good to know, Robert!

BBKs have do a way of getting that reaction from owners, don't they! With my Brembos, my only fear is stopping quicker than the guy behind me.

Looking forward to your safe arrival so you can come to the next meet and show off the kit!

If you want, and I recommend it, we can cut off the dust guards from around your hubs. I have the angle grinder if you need. I did mine. pretty easy and makes accessing the hub easier as well as promotes better cooling.

Thanks! I've been eyeing this kit since I bought the car. Got a great deal on it too, $637 shipped! After the UTEC I want to upgrade the suspention (Koni struts & Eibach springs) than the exhaust (Tanabe y-pipe w/ Touring Medalion & Stillen headers).

The Woodman Nissan (Springs) keeps a little bit of Nismo stuff in stock for the Z.

Is this the Stage 2 Stop-tech kit? I'd like to know how you like it because I'm thinking of getting a set.

Yes this is the Stage 2 OEM kit. I've done a lot of research and pretty sure I'm going to enjoy it. I'm currently deployed so I haven't install/ drove w/ the kit on. There are a lot of thread out there where other people have given reviews about the kit. Just search.
