Default Questions about F.I.

I have heard alot of rumbling about Fuel injection for the Z. What kinds of gains can you expect. What all is involved? What kind of $$ would I be looking at?
Anyone have any knowledge on this subject?
Thanks....Sean

Okay...
rephrase the question. Let's say larger injectors, better fuel management and God knows what else....or is it more fuel really isn't an issue at this altitude. Is it all MORE AIR! MORE AIR! MORE AIR!? Which takes us back to SC's and T or TT.
I guess I answered my own question...

From the research I've done for the Z... Unless you plan on turbo or super charging the stock f.i. is fine. I was thinking you replace the injectors and fuel pump but since I'm N/A no need. Now since you plan on running nitrous I have no idea but would think you'd be fine.

roughly 2.5-3k for a fuel system, injectors and EMS.

The Z fuel system is fine, espcially at our altitudes. Unless you're going to find a way to shove LOTS more air in there (forced induction) then the fuel system is fine. I don't think anyone has had to make fuel system upgrades even at sea level for standard mods.

I think the base UTEC map for intake/exhaust mods only bumps the injector duty cycle something like 4% over stock. I'm not sure what the stock 350Z fuel system is like, but there is no way this would require bigger injectors, that I can see!

If you put a UTEC on with an NA setup I could see picking up maybe 15 to the wheels.

Blake it depends on you N/A mods. I've heard of guys gaining 30whp but they have every N/A mod out there. I just received my UTEC and will be at Mac soon. I'll let you know what I gain. I'm hoping for 10whp but a smoother & safer powerband.
