3.9 Final Drive Installer
I just ordered my central 20 3.9 final drive gear and I need to find a good local Denver shop to install it. Anyone have any recommendations? Differential expertise is a must.
Thanks,

They have done at least two other 350z's that I know of with no issues. (a lot of downtime due to having to order the correct parts that the customer didn't supply...but meh)

I drive from Fountain to MAC just for dynos. That's like 1, 1 1/2hr drive. I highly recommend them. Trending Topics
I spoke with TC's and I'm confident they can handle the work, and they are only 15 minutes from my house.
Not sure on mac's. nice guys, cool shop. had my utec tuned there and it throws a cel every time I run their map. not convenient to run down there to get that fixed... now imagine if something bad happens with the final drive install after I get it home. Rather tow it 15 minutes instead of 45 + a toll booth.

BTW, the final drive won't be here for 2 weeks (wife is picking it up in Japan while she is visiting her mom - got it cheap as hell)...
I am open to other suggestions on shops to install if beyond macs/tc's if anyone knows any. Always good to have some options, keeps the price in check...
But yeah, I will most likely go with tc's. thx guys!

Yeah, thrown 4 times, always the same, p1444.
Kevinapex (thx kev!) was kind enough to bring his scanner to the pmi track day so I had him pull and reset it a couple times while I was there. Incidentally, the code I'm getting is the same one another pmi participant was getting on his utec (also tuned by mac's).
You should just stop by autozone, they'll pull the code for free and sometimes reset it for you if they are in a nice mode...

I know I'm just lazy. I also know how to reset it myself.
TC's is the only place I would trust any of my cars.
I have never ever met anyone who has said anything negative about them. I have used them personally and so have quite a few other members of this board. They have a very steady growing reputation with the Z community.

Thx guys, appreciate the feedback!
so do you guys think it's worth the cash to do an lsd upgrade at the same time as the 3.9? cost wise it makes sense, I just don't know if something like the nismo lsd is that much better/worth it over the lsd my touring comes with... any thoughts? is the nismo lsd a good choice?
edit: after some research the verdict seems to be a) save up for the Quaife lsd, which is the most expensive at 1,500.00 otherwise b) get or keep the stock lsd that comes on some models. So, cool, I'll save my cash for something else...

There was an article in a magazine about 2-3 months ago that compared all the LSD for the 350Z. I beleive the OEM LSD put down the fastest lap times. Went very into detail about all of them. PM Will (Resolute) about it.
labor wise it'll save you to just do both at the same time. Your in great hands with TC's; I won't take my Z anywhere else as TC's work speaks for itself. They are very well experienced with the 350z.

Everyone who has ever talked to me knows how I feel, Boulder Nissan they have always taken GOOD care of me and other people I know with costs and integrity in business. If you can take your Nissan to a Nissan dealer for service....why would go any where else? They have genuine Nissan parts for the 350 in stock, certified Nissan mechanics working on your car, the backing from factory Nissan, Nissan diagnostic equipment?!
