hey guys, well i gotta say im from cali, socal, and i might moving out to salt lake within a few months, can u guys tell me what imma get myself into? whats there to do, nightlife, daylife, weather there?, how to keep the z in 1 piece during winter(i have drivin my car inthe snow and it wasnt a good experience) tell me whats the pros and cons over in salt lake, thanks oh btw any good meets? or canyons? how r the cops? smog checks? do they fuss over things being carb legal?

To answer your question, Utah is night and day from So Cal. Mostly conservative, I'm sure you've heard of the overriding Mormon influence. The times I've visited from Colorado, I'm struck by the outdoor beauty of both states. Nightlife? Not gonna be much, compared with where you're coming from.

Assuming your Z is your only car and there's really only one answer: you need two sets of wheels and one set has to have full snow tires mounted for half the year. Otherwise, buy a beater and park the Z during parts of the fall, winter and spring.

I'm sure the Z Club of Utah has some meets and Darrel has already pointed them out for you. One good thing is that SLC has a nearby world-class racetrack, Miller Motorsports Park near Toelle, to go play at!
