I don't know when we'll leave, but I doubt the minivan will keep up with your Z caravan. Hopefully we'll see you guys on the road or have a stop for lunch together. Anyone here been to Garduno's in Alb? It's the best new mexican food joint in town I think. Maybe we'll all be able catch a bite after the track.
Will
David K. The Motel 6 you want is the one off of I-40 and Coors Rd. exit as this is the last exit on the Hwy before the Track. Here's the link:

I paid $82 for two nights there. If you're down, I can upgrade to two beds and we'll split the cost. (Cops don't get paid much)
Will: Come to my house when you want. I'll PM you my cell number.

As for deadlines, please try to confirm by next Wednesday.
Will, if you want to come to my house and swap out your current set with mine, that's cool with me. I can store your wheels in my basement untill you get back, that way it saves up room in your van.
Coming from the San Diego area, I'm dying for some real authentic Mexican food. Now you got me all
hungry.
P.S. I don't live too far from David M. either.

Since it seems liike street tires will be the norm, maybe I won't be holding anyone up with my Kumho's after all.
I think I'll keep the tires I have on there and see what happens. I'm actually a little curious to see how they hold up. Thank you for your generosity Phu, I really do appreciate it. See you this Sunday for the drive, right?
My old RedStuff pads and rotors are good, need to bleed my brakes again, but this might just be the absolute cheapest track day event ever. No extra costs but gas. I hope this has a good turn out, David. And food is included? What a deal!

Well, I was able to take Friday off, so I'm down for the Caravan. I'm pretty excited, I think it's going to be awesome. I'm on my street tires too.
With a lot of people coming in from out of town with only their Zs, I'm thinking it would be a good idea to let everyone know what tools or equipment they plan to bring. That way we can reduce the redundant tools taking up valuable space. Here's my list:
Common small hand tools, but not a full set
Torque Wrench
Large Ratchet Wrench and Deep Socket for wheel lugs
120V Air Compressor (Unless I can find a neat 12v unit)
Pressure Gauge
Extra Mutol Brake Fluid
Small Hand Pump Brake Bleeder
Snow Brush (You never know)
That’s all I can think of right now.
It also may be a good idea to PM the cell numbers out once we get a final list of everyone that’s going.
Anyway, I guess we can plan out the caravan and the other details closer to the 18th.

BTW- it looks like the concession stand will be open each day, but on a cash basis. Not sure if there will be any free food outside of this, but like Phu, I'm looking forward to some great Mex! Bridgestone will be there with a tire exhibit and a set of tires to be raffled off, so I'd recommend checking it out.

I'm hoping that smile (above) means Bamyi got his scheduling problems squared away. For all the Denver guys, I'm thinking of meeting up Friday at 9:30 a.m. for the trip south. How does the I-25 rest stop just south of Larkspur sound? We've met there for other track days before and it gives us a central spot clear of the morning rush to meet at.
Will- we'll have to figure out where to meet up, but I hope you're still coming! Remember to give me a call or PM if you're in need of anything. I won't be carrying many spares or tools since I'm limited by that *&^%! knee this time out.

Can someone put the address (or better yet) a mapquest link. I want to see if I can plan this baby out. I will be given plenty of instruction of how to drive this track right? I am a straight liner only now...
Thanks, Sean

As for instruction, there will be a driver's meeting each day. Driving exercises are designed to build vision, reflexes and reaction time. We'll break into groups with instructors to help during both Saturday and Sunday sessions. Check out the syllabus at: www.nissansportmag.com

I have a canopy, but unfortunatley I won't make it to the track event. If someone is near 120th and I-25 I can send it along. 8x8 canopy. You might even find some on sale at checkers or the big 5 sporting goods for about $80-- 10x10
There are some "trees", but not really big enough for anything.

Expect to see some great automotive-related exhibits, raffles, food and other activities at the Super Roll. More details available at: nissansportmag.com.

Dave: 9:30 at the Larkspur rest stop sounds good for the Caravan down to NM. I'll be there.
Will: Can I please use your jack at the track, both before and afterwards? I'm planning on putting on and taking off my track pads there. I was going to use the spare jack, but if I can use the hydraulic jack that would save some time and energy. If not or if your can't bring it, no biggie. Thanks in advance.
It still sounds like it's going to be an awesome time.

I'll also try to find a mapquest link to the track.
Bottom: I'll pm you my number. I'll try to get the motel room thing done today.
