Bandimere tommorow, who's going??
yea, sorry about the hi-jack. Yea, i have never had problems like yours i guess. What mine does is just like really slams you back into the seat like it leaps forward. But then again, it could just be boost.... Im such a boost noob.
have u guys ever calibrated your tps and map sensors on the utec?
If you your boost is set at 6psi and you're hitting 10psi which from my understanding you're tuned for 6psi, detonation can occur due to lack of fuel for the higher boost level, or even if the utec starts' to pick up Knock, it will retard timing which you will feel lack of power at first. You need to see why you're having a boost spike. I used to have that stumble or heavy acceleration, after uploading the last update from utec 2.8 also with the throttle.mot as well as calibrating my tps and map sensors, I dont have any issues with driveability, drives just fine when not in boost, even going into boost under acceleration no hesitations what so ever but I am running into a issue right now which I am trying to track down, between 3k-5k rpms underboost I am hitting 10.0:1 a/f ratios which no matter how much fuel i take out it wont go leaner. To top it off my wastegate gasket let go at the track today, didnt make sense why i wasnt building boost earlier. I will try and figure out the a/f issue tomorow or friday, just to get a better idea of what the problem is, turbo kit is coming off this weekend.

My utec is like 2 months old I assume it has all the latest updates. I did read the online UTEC manual about the Calibration of the MAP sensor. During tuning they are reading absolute MAP and they are different, but it is tuned to absolute. I am having no knock so it's not a retardation situation. It really does seem to be when it switches between the stock ECU to the UTEC and what load map it's in. I am gonna datalog it this weekend and send it to TurboXS for them to figure out. Anyone every capture on the datalogger? Any pointers or things to be careful of?

It was hot as hell though, and the groove offered too much traction, and I couldn't get enough traction outside of it!

Yeah I couldnt run faster than a 12.5 that day my best 60' was a 2.0 I ran 11.8 before with a 1.76 60'. The difference from the first run and now is am able to get the tires hotter so I was bogging off the line, I started at 5k, then 5500 still bogged, decided to ease off in the water box I ended up spinning the tires hard. The last run I decided to get the tires a little hotter and launch higher the car ended up popping out of first gear. Plus I am running a little too rich in the top end I was watching my wideband during the run, I kept pulling little bit of fuel between runs but still no go.
