2/2/08 Pueblo Driving Class
As I mentioned before, if we are able to get this going, and anyone is willing to drive down to the Springs, my garage is open on 1 Feb (the Friday prior to the event). I've got pretty much any tool necessary, and willing to help do pretty much any work (although no engine block pulling!)

Over the past 24 hours, I've received calls, PMs and outright pleas to keep this HPDC going. Mostly from the guys who've done it before- what a vote of confidence! It looks (mostly) successful, here's the new entry list:
1. Dave90TT (confirmed)
2. tsabrale (confirmed)
3. Zrealsoon (confirmed)
4. 350ZMPH (confirmed)
5. funkymonkey1111 (confirmed)
6. Spivey (confirmed)
7. Wes (confirmed)
8. ColoradoClark (confirmed)
9. Amarao (confirmed)
So that's three who'll be auditing the course and six newbies as of Sunday morning. I'm going to take a leap of faith and say we're going to get the tenth SOON. Those who've indicated they are going, but have not confirmed. need to contact me ASAP (matt jonez, moe at speed image or sicko).
With the sort of passion this group has demonstrated, this HPDC looks like a GO!

Now that we've confirmed entries, I hope everyone will review the syllabus once again. It states each person will bring their own helmet to the event and ANY passengers who want to ride along will be required to sign the track waiver and wear a helmet as well. There's almost two weeks to get ready for this, so even if you don't have a helmet now, you have time to shop for one that fits. I recommend a open faced, SA-rated helmet for use in our airbag-equipped cars.
Please note each person is responsible for bringing a well-maintained and safe car to the event. That means checking and inspecting your ride before you get to the track! Dave 90TT has very generously offered to do a tech day at his house the day before the event (Feb 1st). Brakes are usually the limiting factor in how much fun you can have during the day, so don't neglect them. There are plenty of threads available on track prep for both the G and Z on this board, but feel free to post any questions you have here as well.

Ok, I checked up with Matt and apparently, his boss decided he hasn't worked at the dealership long enough to get time off. So ultimately, Matt will be a no show. But at least we have enough people to get this course going. I am looking forward to meeting up with everyone. I know I have met up with about half of this group. So, let's keep our finger crossed for good weather!

Thanks for the update on Matt. Tell him next time he should at least post up himself for regrets! Sorry you won't have anybody else to drive over with, but you can tell everybody on the Western slope what they missed!

I look forward to letting everyone know what they missed. I know there are lots of Z's here, I just have to figure out how to get them together.

Advance weather reports indicate that Pueblo is in for a stretch of good weather. 40's and 50's from this week into next. While weather (and the forcasts) are changable, it's promising:

Which place? Pueblo? Here's there website Track address is 3733 N Pueblo Blvd, Pueblo CO 81008, just googlemaps it.
Easiest way, though is to take I-25 to Pueblo, and get off on Hiway 50 going west. You'll see the signs for it.

I assume you're doing your own tech this weekend...
