Default Denver Wheel Repair Shop

Anyone know of and/or used a wheel repair shop anywhere in Denver that is capable of fixing lips of forged wheels?

Thanks, let me know.

Try Woody's Wheel Works (I think that's their name, you may have to Google).

Great... those are the guys I sent an email to asking for a quote.

I also found a place called Spec Wheels of America.

Hopefully it will be cheaper than just buying a new wheel.

I posted this in a PM back to Denver350Z, but thought it would be good public info as well. I'd give high marks to Trudesign Wheel in Arvada. It's a small shop that can build and repair most any wheel. Talk with Jim Lyon and have him give you a estimate. He's a racer who's also a straight shooter and can tell you if it's worth repairing. (303) 422-5090

PS- have the wheel dismounted before you take it over for him to assess it!

I called him just now and he seemed kinda like a dick...

guess that doesnt matter if he does good work. We shall see.

btw, they moved from Arvada to Denver about 6 months ago.

+1 for Woody's Wheel. They are pretty fast and do a good job. However, they are a little bit pricey but I would use them again.

Here is a summary of what I have found:

Spec Wheels of America - $135 per wheel, no matter what the damage is, if it is deemed fixable. Takes 24-48 hours, show room quality. Workmanship guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle.

Woody's - Straightening is $80-140 per wheel, refinishing (painting?) is $125 per wheel. 3-4 days.

These were just email quotes for a LE37T. I sent pictures to show damage.

Contact Boulder Nissan, I know they did a great job on Kevin's wheels and I don't think their prices were near those prices you have. (They send them to someone near their shop...I don't think they do the work)
P.S. they are Volks wheels he had repaired

I've heard Boulder send a lot of there stuff out to different vendors, local & out of state. Me personally... I hate the middle man garbage. Why go to one shop and pay them $xxx to drive my parts across the street? When I can go directly to the same shop and save the 10% mark up the first shop charges.

They may mark it up 10%... but that may be on a 20% reduced price for having a sole-source deal with Boulder Nissan.

I wouldnt care if they marked it up as long as its cheaper than the prices I was quoted...

Denver350z..........don't mind that tool RobertK, she just gets her panties in a bunch anytime someone does something that she wouldn't do.

I would go to Boulder Nissan to have anything done and am proud of the work they did for me and others I know.

Hell Boulder Nissan is more likely to lose money on the deal...obviously you've never dealt with them, they don't roll like that. Anyway if you want it done right I am giving you experiance I saw 1st hand. I guess you can go with hear-say.

I don't even understand what this means....but reading what I do understand....
Boulder has been great to me and very helpful. Of course I am gonna drop their name. I saw the work they stand behind on wheel repair, I give it thumbs up. I am for them because of my experiance, your against them because?.............
Anyway I added relitive info to this thread which is now going off topic.
