Denver speaker install meet?

This is a change of pace from our usual 'drive-by' meets. After a lot of searching, I've purchased a set of MB-Quart DSC-216s for my front speakers and will be installing them this Saturday (8/19/03). Shogun (Joe to the rest of us) has graciously offered to show me the ropes as he has finished his install of both Infinity Kappa speakers and a nice 2-channel amp. Depending upon the response, we may do the install at his place (which has limited parking) or at mine (more parking) and maybe do lunch in-between. Since we both live in Aurora and are pretty close to I-225 and Illiff, this might be a good occasion to sit around and bench race a bit as you watch us sweat- pulling off the door panels (and more)- on my Redline track.
I'll be combining the speakers with a U.S. Acoustics two-channel (100 watts/side) amp in an attempt to improve (but not change the look of) the stock stereo. I'll keep the stock rear speakers for rear fill and we'll see how much this improves the sound. I'm thinking that I'll have a pro (ie. CarToys) do the amp install afterwards. A man has gotta know his limits!
So anyway, if there is any interest either PM me or post here and I'll give directions. Another attraction might be the Eibach Prokit and Nismo swaybars installed on the car! Does the 350Z look better lowered about an inch? How does it handle? Come by and take a look, even if you can't stay for long!

David,
I'd like to come watch/help out with your speaker install. I'll be buying new speakers myself within the next few weeks, and this will help me freeload off your experience in how to install them properly
I'd also like to check out the Eibachs and sways and hear about that install.
Just let me know where/when you're doing the install and if there's anything I can bring to help out. Thanks!
Gary

I'm a Z owner here in CO, I wouldnt mind checking out the speaker install this Saturday and provide a hand if needed. I got my infinity system I've been saving for my Z, but the time of installation for that will be sometime in the not so immediate future
. Anyhow, shoot me some directions and times
. I work off of I-25 & Arapahoe (live in Broomfield) and am familiar with I-225 & Iliff area so I'll stop by
Gonna be dynoing my car for the first time wednesday (8/13/03) @ Paragon Tuning @ 5pm. Any1 can stop by if interested (10 Havana St), wish me luck lol!

Juztin, they already had this meet like a month ago. Just thought I'd tell you so you don't drive over for nothing.
BTW.........Hope all goes well at Paragon. I have heard alot of very bad things about those guys. If you ever want some private Dyno time, let me know and I can get you set up with someone very trustworthy.

lol, thanks for the heads up man, i was looking at the dates earlier on the posts and was like hmm... the whole 8/19/03 thing threw me off on the post. Oh well. Thankfully Im not taking my car to get worked on over there at Paragon, just gonna drive it onto the dyno and get some measurements. I'm sure in the future I'll be looking for some Dyno time when I get a chance to put in cams and pulleys. Thanks for the help on the dyno setup man, I'll be letting you know when that time comes around

My bad. As Shogun says, that was ancient history last month- sorry for the confusion.
BTW- I'm on the road in New Mexico this week and the speakers (together w/the U.S. Acoustics amp) sound great! Nothing like a road trip to really test a system. Signing off from Taos on 8/13/03...

My hometown is Belen, a little south of Albuquerque. I know how that drive is
. At least you got some sweet sounds to fill in the wide open voids of road
. Just watch your speed, I-25 through NM is VERY tempting!
