Ha! Glad you got the disk and I like your avatar too. I much prefer this one though.

I think Larry sent us the same photos that included both of us, so if you have a few noteworthy images of just you then I'd like to have a few of those if you don't mind.
We sure missed you this past weekend. It was a good time, hot, and even convinced my 14yo brother to work grid with Gary. I've been considering the 944 route and recently looked at a few developed cars including Micha Thompson's (Gary's teammate). I'm still not yet convinced that Spec 944 is the right path for me though. I'm a little bummed that the season is just about over and might have to seriously consider sim racing just to keep me occupied in the off-season. Thanks for keeping in touch on the forums - it's almost like you're still here in CO.

Wow, those are some great photos! Definitely worth keeping.
Speaking of photos, I don't think I ever expressed my appreciation for the photos that Jenn took while we were out in Utah. Dave - please pass along how much Joanne and I liked those pictures, and that we're really glad she was able to take so many and pass them along to us. And thanks to Joel for hosting them for us!
Joel - if you'll be looking to do some sim-racing in the off-season, you should look at an upcoming PC release called iRacing. I've been spending a lot of time lately with a pre-widespread-release version, and so far I'm very, very impressed. It looks like it will go into full release at the end of the summer, but if you sign up for updates on their site, you might get an invite to the pre-release testing period at some point before it goes live to the world:

iRacing won't be for everyone (it's quite a bit pricier than the average PC game, and the content, at first glance, seems much more limited), but it pretty much makes everything else out there look and feel like Pole Position for the Atari 2600. It gets the closest to the driving, competition, and physical aspect of actual racing than anything else I've seen, and it should, since it's targeted as much as a training tool for real racers than as a video game.

How did you find out about iRacer Gary? It sounds pretty cool and I killed an hour reading all about it and watching a few videos. I'm registered so hopefully I'll get an invite to try it out soon. Thanks!

From what I’ve heard, I would say that if you’re on their mailing list, that you’ll get an invite at some point during the summer. Let me know when you get it, and we'll try to get in some races together.
