Possibility of a Pueblo Motorsports Safety class
Valid, very valid. One of these days ill give you a racing partner. Hoping to have the Z all done up by next year so I can run the whole season, oh, and a job that will allow me to do so, thats been my biggest problem.
I'll be there if I can break away from work that day, and I'll talk to Joanne about taking the day off so that she can bring her new G35XS out for this, too.
And +1 on everything that others have said about the value of these events that David puts together. You'll learn more about driving in a single day at one of David's events than you could learn in a lifetime of driving on the streets and trying to 'learn as you go'.

The electronically rev-matched downshifts work really well, and it should be a fun car to drive on the track. The suspension is tight but not overly firm, and the steering is very direct (even more so than the Z). It will likely understeer on the track, but I suspect there are some swaybar options out there that can help with that.

Driving it on the street is almost like playing a videogame: accelerate up to the braking point for a turn, brake hard, click the left paddle (blip), click it again (blip), turn in, and accelerate away.
Guys I may be in for this too, not sure I'll have my Z back by then (if it's even repairable) but if not I'll bring something (assuming that's cool).
Not going to let one mistake (granted a huge one) ruin the amazing fun that the track can be...
When do you need a 100% firm commitment by?

The list means you are seriously committed to doing the event. I'll start taking deposits 30 days before the event. BUT if we don't get at least ten committments in the next few weeks, there's no need to even hold the track reservation.
