Default Colorado Happy Hour

Some of you local Colorado enthusiasts know that the last time we all got together for a drive, we discussed setting a date for a meet & greet in order to arrange some dates for upcoming summer drives.

I'm thinking we need to set a date for an evening happy hour meet relatively soon. If we don't get on it, the very short summer will have passed, leaving us scratching our heads.

My thoughts were to pick a local spot where we might be able to partake in some cold beverages, some food and discuss our cars and some ideas and dates for some upcoming meets/drives.

So whats everyone else thinking?

Hey Brian, I'm up for a happy hour some evening. However, I've already taken the liberty of scheduling another track event at LaJunta in THREE weeks, so check it out on this forum:

With the drive down, it will be a full and fun day!

Sounds good to me. I agree that we could use more advance planning this year, and I'm always up for a frosty beverage.

This week is pretty busy for me, but maybe we can schedule something for next week? I'm indifferent as to location, but the Rock Bottom at 36 and Church Ranch/104th that we've used before might be one spot to consider unless someone has another/more central location in mind.

I'll try to attend a happy hour/summer meet scheduling event. Looks like my only booked weekend day this month is Saturday, April 17. Any other weekend day should be fine. Also, anywhere in Denver will work since it takes me about the same amount of time to get there, north or south.

Brian, I'm ready to go. Sport Z will be covering the MSA show, ZDayZ Tail of the Dragon and the National Z Car Convention. I'm scheduled for all three, but conflicts are coming at me from everywhere. When the meet is set, I'll try to be there. Rock Bottom would work for me.

Hopefully I can join you guys in LaJunta in three weeks.

BTW, dkmura is dominating the next issue of Sport Z Magazine AGAIN. Any ideas on how to avoid this in future issues?

How does Tuesday Apr. 13th @ 6:30 sound to everyone?

We can meet at the Rock Bottom @ Westminster Promanade or at the Rock Bottom downtown. You can get free parking in the underground garage at the downtown location. Let us all know what you think and where you'd like to have it as these dates aren't firm yet. If anyone has any better suggestions post those to.
There are some good beer specials on Tuesday nights at the Rock Bottom.

I'm down to meet up with everyone. My Z has been chilling for too long. Anywhere sounds good to me, rock bottom sounds fine. I would also recommend Buffalo Wild Wings (if everyone likes wings). They've got 25 cent wings with like twenty different flavors, great drink specials, and the place is pretty big and quite a happening place. The address is 8350 W 80th Ave. Just another idea. Of course anywhere in lodo is good too.

Tuesday should work for me although not sure if I'll be able to drive my Z yet. It will depend on the weather and road conditions up in the mountains. Looks like another storm this weekend.

The Rock Bottom in Westminster would work better for me but I can go downtown also.

I like BW3's as well, just not on Tuesday. The place is much to crowded for me on that day. Especially if we plan on having a group thing.
Anyone else have any problems with next Tuesday? If not lets shoot for that day.
Gary, you alright with that day?
I will try and get an e-mail out to everyone on ther list soon so that we can see if anyone else wants to join us.

Next Tuesday works for me. I agree with Brian - BW3 is a good place to go, but their parking situation isn't really conducive to an outing like this, and it can be tough to get larger tables inside.

I can do either Rock Bottom, but the one up north sounds like it might be easier for most to get to (and the parking at that one is definitely better than the downtown one.)

Tuesday, the 13th, at Rock Bottom in Westminster sounds good for me. Parking downtown can be such a hassle. 6:30 sounds good. Maybe I can get the wife to come along with the promise of dinner. See you then!!

Sending my regrets- I already scheduled next Tuesday as a 'racecar work evening'. I have an upcoming Double National race at PMI the following weekend. Its getting a bit close and I may need next Tuesday to get the rebuilt engine back in the car and checked.

Cheers to everybody who goes and hope you plan some good trips for this summer!

Hwy 36 and 104th. Yikes thats so far away from my house. Oh well. I'll try and make it out there so I can meet everyone. Been looking forward to meeting some more people who've got the new z.

With all the **** you've got on your Z, I'd want this happy hour deal in Pueblo just so I could take a longer drive.

Hehe. I hear what you're saying. Actually I haven't even driven it since I've gotten everything done. It's at the mechanics right now, so I'm WAY looking forward to driving it when I get it back on Monday. Are we gonna go for a drive on Tuesday or at least one of these days? It would be cool if we all cruised around in a big Z gang. See you all on Tuesday....

Chris,
I hope we will be doing plenty of that come this summer. That's why we have organized this Tues. night event coming up.
Last year it was becoming more difficult to schedule drives due to everyone's busy schedules. My hope is by possibly scheduling some events in advance we may have a better turnout.
