Not sure if I shared this little tale with everyone, but here goes. One unfortunate symptom of a brain injury is an inability to process information and make quick decisions. During our drive, some of us were stuck behind a slow car as we headed into a series of twisties. I caught a quick, but clear, view of the road ahead as we rounded one of the turns and saw that there was no oncoming traffic for several turns. While I don't make such foolish or rash moves (such as passing on the outside of a double yellow), I didn't hesitate to gun it around that car. I trusted my eyes and it felt good! On reflection, this was not a practice I'd endorse, whether you're in your teens or fifties! BTW- I'm not at the big 5-0 yet, I'm gonna gun that big, red Z again and outrun it!
Craig- Loved those pics (but are you really sure you know where PP GOT that "wheel cover" from?). Didn't realize why you were peeling off at Nederland until you waved me on.
Speaking of Don's ride at Boulder Nissan, we should feel a little sorry for him. Once you FEEL that boost come on, it's all too easy to fall deeply, madly in love. There are no support groups for the boost-addicted (only broken bank accounts).
For Gary, check the website at: www.jgtcusa.net. Check out those 350Zs in both the GT500 and GT300 classes. There's surely a way to TEMPT you into this road trip! While I understand your reluctance to spend the bucks for a California Speedway day, I'm really looking forward to a challenging, mind blowing circuit!
Finally, to Joe- waddya mean, "tattoos"!? Those are MUSCLES showing through that shirt!

Who would've guessed that this thread would end with a reference to the late, great Mutant Teenage Turtles. LOL!
We need another drive SOON!

Brian-
I'm sure I speak for everybody in saying that we missed you at this last drive. The question should be: what (date) works for YOU?
We talked about another mountain drive last Saturday and agreed that Darrel could set the next one up. Haven't seen him post anything yet, but it would be helpful to know when you'd be available!

As of right now the only weekend that doesn't work for me is Aug 21 & 22 and Labor Day weekend.
I'm usually free most weekends, just this past weekend was one I actually had plans on. The big race at Bandimere took priority.
Lets see what Darrel comes up with. I also have to have my Z to make the drive, right now it's for sale, so if it sells I would be out for the drive, but may ride along with someone if possible. Lets just hope I still have it.

Thank you Joe.
By the way............I was driving next to you on the bouder turnpike a few weeks ago and was trying to get your attention but it wasn't working............perhaps it was because I was in my CRX and not the Z. I think you were working.
