Default dyno shop Phoenix area

I just installed my hi flow cats and would like to get a dyno done for the A/F ratio. Want to be sure I'm not running to lean. Any recommendations as to what shop to bring it too? Hoping to find one that is familiar with the Z. Would prefer the Phoenix or glendale area but will go to the east side or scottesdale if necessary.

Thanks for your help

Maybe also call Vivid Racing, they may be able to recommend a place.

I hold dyno days at Intense Motorsports in Gilbert, probably once a month or so. Not many Z guys, but there have been a few. If you're interested in dyno'ing your Z, send me an email to phoenixR34@hotmail.com and we can set something up. It's a DynoJet 224x.

The VW crowds from www.vwvortex.com are having a dyno day at AZ dyno chips on Nov 4th. $45 for 3 runs w/ AF chart if i remembered it correctly. I am thinking of going too since all kinda cars are welcome and price is reasonable. PM me for details.

So what were your results? How's the A/F ratio? AZ Dyno Chips - where are they located at? Thanks for the info.

I went to AZ Dyno Chip today, car is bone stock, ~2350 miles on the clock, best run is 233.1 hp and 222.4 tq
My A/F ratio is way way too lean, it stays at 14-15 most of the time, the only time i get down to ~13 is at 3200rpm-3800rpm

The address of AZ dyno Chip is
513 N. 54th St. Suite #5
Chandler, AZ 85226

or go to www.arizonadynochip.com

I am averaging about 14.38 with a dip into the 13.7 area at 3500rpm. Kieth thinks this is too lean while everything I read says that this is close to normal. I however developed a vibration especially felt around the lower rpm scale.

Does anyone know of a good shop to take it too.

You have to be careful with the DynoJet a/f analyzers. I used to work with a DynoJet daily (still do actually) and the sensors used in the a/f meter boxes can be damaged easily. If anyone ran race fuel through or leaded fuel through that thing, it can be damaged easily. Not to mention it's just an O2 sensor than goes bad in time anyways. Highly unlikely a stock car would be reading in the 14s, nor should you be worried about the a/f ratio on a stock car, or a stock car with minor bolt-ons. I eventually stopped using the DynoJet A/F meter and went to a wide-band used only by myself, to ensure it doesn't get damaged.

anyone know of a shop that could diagnose a vibration. Don't want to go to a dealer. Wish we had a Crawford Z here in Phoenix.

what kind of vibration? something coming from the engine, or something you feel in the steering/chassis?

Its coming from the engine. Can feel it at idle and thru the power band although it doesn't seem to get worse the faster I go.
