Default Paint and Installer in OC area

Anybody know of a good paint shop and installer. Performance quoted me $470 for the paint and install on a Nismo wing. A little high for my budget. Just wondering if a better deal could be found.

I've had good luck with M.O.B. Works (located in Orange). They painted and installed my Datasystem spoiler and Veilside lip. Be sure to ask for Miguel (the owner).

Here's another 350z that they did:

Thumbs up

I also recommend Mobworks in Orange.

I just had my body kit painted there last week.

Miguel, Louis, and Ortiz (the thre people there I dealt with) are great guys - a real pleasure to do business with. Same time as they were painting my parts, they were doing a paint/install for another forum member here with a G35, and were also doing a complete repaint of a 350Z for a tuner.

You should give Miguel a call to get a quote, since price can vary depending on number of pieces involved, type of kit (FRP, urethane, replica), amount of prep required, etc.

Can either Iggman or Scafremon post some pics of your cars after the paint job. would like to see the quality of mobworks products. I just called them to see if I could get a quote but there was no answer. I'll try them again later, probably during lunch time.
Scafremon- how much did they charge to paint the nismo lip and skirt and stillen wing?

They have a gallery on their website. My friend made the cover of Import Tuner with their paint job. They do good work

Bazinger:

Did you get in touch with Miguel?

I'd rather not post what I paid. Not that I think I got a discount or anything, it's just that I do not think it is correct for me post prices for items that are not a commodity type product. Too many variables to consider. Hope you understand. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I just think that since Miguel can quote you over the phone, it is much better to get a price from him directly.

As for pictures, I'll post some as soon as it stops raining!

I'm very pleased with the paint job. It does seem to me the spoiler is slightly darker, but from different angles, it looks perfect. The rest of the pieces look perfect, and I doubt that painted/prepped the parts differently. I'll have Miguel look at it soon, and have him tell me what he thinks.

I'm very confident that Miguel will make sure you are happy with the work he does. This is a referral type of business, and it isn't good to have customers not 100% pleased with the work they paid for.

No problems with keeping what you paid confidential. I completely understand. Even if you got some discounted price, i would expect the same unless he thought i was deserving of it.
I wasnt able to get in contact with mobworks, but my friend has a friend who has a friend who does real good work. he hooked me up with a good price.
I only have one question. on some sites i see nismo wings going for $8-900. but on other sites i see them for around $300. is there a difference? does usd and jdm make a difference?

Sorry, I don't have any pics. If you live anywhere near the Tustin Marketplace, you can check out my car in person, though. Or, just stop by M.O.B. Works and get a quote and check out the cars that are being worked on.

I agree with Scafremon and I'd rather not post what I paid. I can say that I was expecting the bill to be much higher. I was pleasantly surprised! Miguel will make sure that you are 100% satisfied.

It's hard to see the quality of a paint match (either bad or good) from pictures, but for what it's worth, here is a pic.
