Cool Thunderhill for Valentine's Day!

Just thought I'd let you all know . . . T.E.A.M. Racing is having its next event at Thunderhill this February 14th! The $190 per driver includes catered lunches, snacks, a supply of Gatorade and bottled water, instruction (mainly for the novice group), and at least two hours of track time (divided among six 20-minute sessions). The date is fast approaching, so don't let it slip under your wheels! For more information, feel free to email me or visit us on the web at http://www.team-racing.org THANKS for the bandwidth, and please spread the word! It's gonna be a blast!!!

***Oh, believe me, it is a TON of fun! We always have a great time and have never had a single incident. At one event, my student asked me to drive his 350Z -- I envy you! I hope you can make it. We have two other events in 2005 also, so keep your eyes peeled. Take care,

I spent the weekend after last Thanksgiving at Thunderhill in my EVO. It is a GREAT track. If you are used to the likes of Streets of Willow, you are in for a real treat if you go to Thunderhill.

The only drawback is that it is a damned long drive from SoCal for one day on the track. I would prefer to go there for a 2-day event. It's at least 450 miles from L.A.

***Except Thunderhill has more turns, and a longer main straightaway. Although, I did get my car to its record speed (so far) out of turn nine a few years back. I love that track! You are so lucky to live so close!

***I have not yet ventured into having a weekend event, but will probably try it out next year. We already have our dates officially assigned for this year -- I was lucky to get a Monday even! Last year I got a Wednesday and a Thursday! VERY hard for folks to attend those days, but we still had a bunch of drivers. Amazing. About the distance -- my friend Robert drives all the way from Orange about once a year to hang out at Thunderhill . . . and this event is the day right after the weekend, so you would have a nice cruise down. You'd have to stay over in Willows on Monday, though, probably. Hey, I do it when I go to Willow Springs every year (definitely further than 450 miles from Sacramento)! I guess it depends on how addicted (might be translated, in my case, to insane, lol) you are.

I hope you'll change your mind and join us -- we put on outstanding events. You won't be sorry, I promise!

Not sure if anyone in the SoCal region is interested in going, but the price goes up to $200 this Friday. So if you're thinking about it, probably would be a good thing to think about signing up soon. I hope to see a few of you join your NorCal buddies! Take care,

***Sounds like you've been working too hard. That's why a day at the track would be perfect! Take a couple of vacation days and just say "screw it" and enjoy yourself, I say! That's what I am going to do! Boss already knows about it, teases me about not letting me have the day off . . . so I just look him in the eye and say, "You do whatever you want James, but I'm NOT going to be here that day." My boss is weird, he likes abuse I think. Lol. Anyway, hope you'll come up and see us.

***Well, call in sick then. Oof, I'm such a bad influence! Tell you what . . . let's sweeten the pot. If ten 350Z forum drivers sign up, I will reduce the price to $175. What do ya say, folks? That is a knockout price! Hope to see ten 350Zs soon.
