Just a heads-up on LACR:

1. Traction isn't too great off the line.
2. Elevation is close to 3,000 ft.

 

What was your best time up there?

 

My best is 14.6 on 19's with heavy tires.

I have my oem track 18's on right now and I might join you this friday if theres no rain.

 

I never ran on this track. It's just things I hear from other car enthusiasts, except the elevation is no joke (you can see the actual elevation stated on the website).

 

From what I hear this is the best place to run if you want to avoid Minute Maid ricers crossing the quarter mile in a minute at those other tracks.

 

To be honest, I can't see why ricers won't race on LACR.

 

Ricer excuses include:

"It's too far my JDM AB49 typer SIR motor swap doesn't get good gas mileage"

"My J-spec engine was built to race in Tokyo at low sea level and the sea level affects Vtec"

"I like going to Irwindale so when ever I roll there they think I'm going to drift my FWD car. Plus I rub off the ink on the 1/8 mile timeslip and make it look like I ran a 15 second quarter mile"

"There's too many 9 second muscle cars that I can easily beat with my gas saving VTEC and I like real competition like corolla's and sentras"

"It's not widely advertise which means it has very little to do with car shows that glorify The Fast and The Furious and it's not considered mad tight"

I seriously don't know. I've only seen one civic hatchback running there doing low 13's and I've been up there 4 times.

 

just got back from there..ran 13.6 but I can do do better without my 19s although they didn't make that much of a diff.

 

13.6 corrected? or did you run your z32

no 13.6 uncorrected...haha I'm not stock tho. My Z32 is in the process of getting major upgrades as soon as a few more parts come in. That and some more money, I'm beyond broke. Damn mods.
