I'm stock for now... well minor mods. clear bra, Smoked overlays, stubby antenna. i'm tryin really hard to clear my credit card right now. But looking at rims and tires ($2500), intake-exhaust ($1200), and body kit ($1500). It all depends how much cash you got to blow!

stock is nice... but with the z the beauty of it is that you can make it nicer! if engine mods are not a concern to you (im content with the stock z's performance), there is alot you can do. first, and most important, get aftermarket wheels. make sure you budget around 3000 for 19 inch wheels in a staggered size, with tires. volks, rays, ggames, racing hart are the better brands. second, make suspension changes to lower the car. if you have money, go with coilovers. you can save money by getting springs instead of coilovers (like i did). from there, its all about visuals. window tint, body kit, grill, emblems. heres the order of what i got:
emblems, antenna, grill, side markers, shift ****, ebrake, window tint, wheels, springs, body kit (i will order soon). after the body kit, im done for a long time.

Thumbs up

Yeah Charlie, got in put on last Saturday. And they did an awsome job. Thanks to Edre and Baine at Envisage for hookin' up my ride. Cool dudes! they were also working on a brand spankin' new 2005 Porsche Carrera GT only worth about half a mil... and a 2005 cherry red Ferrari of course. Those were some sweet *ss rides! But not as sweet as my Z!

Yup, 100% stock.

The only change from the factory is the oil - switched to Mobil 1 5w30.
Then again, I bought the Z with the intention of leaving it stock for a long while; at least performance-wise. I might be doing to aesthetics soon.

What do you guys think should I do some work on it? There are a few things l'd like to do but haven't gotten around to it.
What are you interested in would be a more pertinent question. Looks vs. speed (performance).

Well I am totally stock too but not for super long...

We are looking at Exhuast, High Flow Cats, Possibly headers, CF Hoodie, Clear Bra (I would like to see some at the next meet), Sways (F & R), Tower Struts (F & R), Adjustable Shocks (possibly coils), Brembo Rotors, gunmetal gray/charcoal light weight rims, clear fronts, NISMO style spoiler

That is the whole list of desires at this point... I just like to handle on rails dont you?

If your into performance over looks, I would recomend a good set of tires. Nice grippy tires offer handling and better launches off the line. Nothing better than a good set of treads to go around the corners. As for launching off the line, most races (drag or street) from a stop is won by the first 60' (Street is a little more subjective). Tires IMO is probably the best mod for both handling and improving 1/4 mile times, however it depreciates over use.

As for the Z stock performance, I'm pretty satisfied with it. Drive it aggressive and the Z will compensate for it. However, the VQ does get hot and I think a nice aftermarket radiator (with lower temp thermostat), oil cooler, switching to some premium coolant and synthetic oil would be in the works, but not a manadtory must have (more pratical if you race alot on the track than it is for street).

That's my cheap route for squeezing stock performance, looks and other stuff is totally up to you.

Mine's almost three weeks old and is still almost stock.

I've mounted the V1 radar detector last night and if I find time this weekend I'm doing some LED interior lighting. I got a cheap bra to hold me over too.

Eventually I want an air intake, window tinting, and once the stock crappy tires wear out I'll get something better. The Zanio starter kit ought to be waiting for me when I get home. I'm not looking turbos, superchargers, exaust, suspension ... (yet)

I would have stayed stock but there was another CS roadster enthusiast parked at the lab that was all dirty and looked like it went up the curbed. It was so shameful I had to mod ASAP.

Im sure having a factory freak that lays down 258whp stock has nothing to do with your decision not to mod

I like my right-foot reflash mod. Unfortunately, my car doesn't like to run hot and pings. I'm looking into nice mods that will make the car run cooler, but than again I wouldn't be stock any more (the drama of being stock).

Nothing wrong with stock. I'll keep mine that way until I feel it needs something new.

I've been thinking about getting a clearbra but i think it's too late for me. Already have rock chips in the paint. One chip even made it as high as the roof. sucks!!!

Been thinking about changing the hood to a cf hood.

Poor high school senior. I'm dropping with RS*R Ti2000 springs soon.

The Track model is already tricked out. Nice wheels and nice brakes from factory.
