Just washed my car this morning and HOLY S#IT!! I have a grip of new paint chips in my front end/hood/fenders!! I blame Jon (Zman23) as I was behind him through the "hottest" sections
Did I have fun??..sure
Did I scare the snot out of my girlfriend??..I certainly hope so
Would I do it again...YOU BET!!
By the way, does anyone know if Toms alive??

Did anyone else have quarter sized discs of brake dust floating down their driveway when they washed their car after this weekend???

I'm Vince, the one with the bruised ego, haha. I'm fine. It's only money, I'll just make more.
Thanks again SO MUCH Gwapito. And thanks to everyone for helping and sticking around for as long as you did.
I definitely learned from this. I only blame my in-experience. I think it was worth it, I still had loads of fun.
Here is my write up on what went down on Saturday morning.

Vince...so glad you weren't hurt! It was a tricky ride Saturday. There was a lot more loose gravel than I expected and I'm surprised we didn't have more issues. Bottom line is that car body work is much easier to fix than human body work. I know it's heartbreaking but your attitude is definately the right one. See you out there.

Audio Pat's right, all that loose sand/gravel out there was making me nervous. I'm really glad to hear Tom's ok too.

Sorry I missed this one. Now that the life span of the Roadster has been extended a bit, I hope to join in on the next one. Which is when?
On a somewhat related note, for those of you interested in pushing their cars a bit without some of the inherent danger of doing so on public roads, June 19 is the next Buttonwillow Performance Driving Clinic. These are very low key events (i.e. no timed runs), and you'll likely have more track time than energy. Lots of quality instruction available, too, for those who want it.

Not a bad idea. I think I need to take a few track driving courses to further learn the limits of my car.
I would also like to know when the next canyon run is. I need to finish what I started and tame that mountain.

Seriously though in the 2 years I've owned my car I think I've managed to develop a mild case of OCD... I wash my car every weekend religiously.
