Default Driving in So Cal is getting dangerous

Another Freeway shooting today and the end is no where near. Wow makes me think when a car pace me. I don't know if they are checking out the Z or aiming at me. Be carefull boys and girls and don't get involved in any road rage...Be safe

Anyone need a Mr Twisted Gun Club sticker for their ride. A armed society is a polite society.

After an incident a few weeks back driving out around Julian, I will be carrying my shotgun with me for backup. Too many idiots out here that think they own the road. Let another person get an attitude and tailgate me after I pass them for driving too slow.....

Actually, I am going to put it in the trunk. It is simple to take the barrel off, and I can assemble it in under 30 seconds. A bit too much? Maybe, but you had to be there to know why I am resorting to this. I tried doing the right thing, but this guy wouldn't let up. Risk killing me and my wife driving the way he did, and I say fight fire with fire.

Its not worth it. We all drive fast cars. If someone is messing with you on the road, just let them pass u or fly right by them.

You see, that is exactly what I did. The guy driving that Mercedes SUV thing didn't like it that I passed him (he was only going 20 mph in a 55, and didn't use any of the three turn offs like he was supposed to). He was about a foot or two off my bumper driving 85+ after that, until I came up on some twisties and lost him, or so I thought. I made a quick turn down a closed park road and waited about five minutes, but when I came back around the bend, he was waiting at the end of the drive. That is where I would have taken out every window in that thing with my shotgun. The good thing is I did get his license, had a buddy trace it, and sent him a little note. I would have given a paycheck to see the look on his face when he opened it.
In most cases, sure, let it go, but when the other driver refuses to drop the case, you have to defend yourself, even if it does mean killing the other person. Maybe a box of ball bearings might do the trick?

wow, i didn't know it went that far. I completely understand since your wife was with you. shotgun is unrealistic since it's so big, better use a handgun in the back compartment storage. Don't put it in the same compartment as the registration papers as you might have to open it up in front of a cop if you get pulled over for speeding/ turn violation, etc. How did you get his address with just a license plate? What does your friend do? That info might be useful some day. Good thing you and your wife are safe.

Yeah, WTF is wrong with people that get mad when you pass them when THEY'RE the ones going slow??? I had that happen to me before also, but I was in my Civic and the person was in a Miata. Even with my suspension setup, I couldn't shake the person after I passed him on the street. Heck, he even followed me to the gas station and waited for me to leave. That's when I got my Club out and approached his car (I know, not the smartest thing to do)... basically, he was pissed that I passed him earlier...

I hear about these LA shootings on the news, and I had thought it was someone picking people off from the sides of the freeway... but I guess it now seems like random cases of road rage (from what I read here).

Yeah, I also want to know how your friend was able to trace the plates.

A few weeks ago, some psycho kept cutting me off on the 105. Then he has the ***** to start blocking me whenever I tried to change lanes.

Then I took out my digital camera and started taking pictures of his plates, etc. Once he saw the flash, he high-tailed it outta there.

My friend works in law enforcement. He did it as a favor after I told him what happened, and I showed him the letter before I mailed it (no fingerprints, I was careful). I would carry a handgun, but I am more accurate with a rifle, and I can place slugs really well with my shotgun. Besides, I can at least scare them if the need arose, more only if necessary.
I know about keeping the ammo seperate from the weapon, and don't have anything easily accessible. I grew up around guns, so I know how to handle and transport them. the last thing I need is CHP popping holes in me and my car for something stupid.
