Hundreds of owners have posted on this topic and complained (me included). And that's just folks who have bothered to post and that's just the folds on this forum, which is a small fraction of the total population. From my perspective , having talked to fellow Z owners, a majority of '03's and a significant percentage of '04's had and still have the problem. I'm on my third sef of front tires in less than 30k miiles. and two TSB visits later the problem is just as bad as it ever was and Nissan won't do diddly about it. And you guys are calling out complaints and the news media's focus on it a crock of crap? Where is your reality check guys? No one said every '03 or '04 had the problem, but most do and since Nissan has so far chosen to ignore us in hopes of us going away I guess, I for one am 100% behind the class action suit. Just show me where to sign. Let them sweat a little bit.

Even if only a small majority of Z's have it... NISSAN SHOULD FIX IT. Look at the huge M3 recall that BMW did with their connecting rods. Nissan (and Infiniti) is just about the worst Japanese car company my family has had to deal with. I think we'll avoid them and stick to Lexus or German cars from now on. At least if it breaks down for BMW, they usually agree to fix it!

It amazes me how ridiculous people without feathering can be. Just because ALL Z's don't have a problem, doesn't mean there isn't a problem. My Z had feathering, and I'll gladly trade my car with yours so you can experience the "crock of crap" first hand.

Be glad you don't have the problem, support those who do.

I have to agree Nissan choses to turn away when we have problems or ignore it all together...we 03's are screwed unless I get adjustable toe and camber BUT should I have to spend 2 grand on a upgrade....I think not

2003 CS Base w/ ~13,8xx, though the body kit, brake work, stereo, seats, sways, etc., would make it an expensive switch.

For me. There's not a lot of a point in me spending $3-5K + to remove everything to trade for a car that I'm not convinced is any better (read: fixed). If you want to pay for it to prove whatever point you are trying to make, I'm all for it.

People who don't have feathering should let people who do discuss the issue, as they don't seem to know a darn thing about it and only seem to offer useless posts that don't address the issue.

I've had it. Heard it. Felt it. Saw it. Same thing that an automotive magazine dealt with. They probably haven't driven many cars right? They (as KingTut posted in another thread) are just unwilling to get an alignment or rotate the tires?

Dealer examined it, measured, said it was covered fully under the TSB. Got a free alignment. Got free tires. I'm more than happy to share my knowledge of the issue, what was done about it (dealer), and what I did about it.

Since then I've changed a few things, but most directly related was new wheels, new tires (Toyos), and gotten a $125 alignment at a alignment specialist. I do not think it is still an issue, but it has only been about 5K miles since the dealer fixed it ("fixed it"), and the issue originally cropped up at ~9K miles (so at least another 5K or so is needed before I can recommend anything or claim it is... fixed). Car has about 13K now.
