On my way to work (Moorpark) Madera was all locked down.
This guy killed several people, shot a police officer, hijacked a car in thousand oaks and then was chased until he went into Walmart on Madera where 50!!! yes 50 officers tried to get to him and he finally shot himself...
50 police officers for 1 guy alone in a walmart and they can't even get the guy...the killer had to do their job by killing himself...
I swear everytime I think I can not lose more respect for the police they top it. And of course the one cop that actually came and tried to help got shot. Fortunately he survived.
Cops were all over venice beach. They had the parking enforcement spotting cars for cops to write tickets for damaged lights, cracked windshields, no plates. etc.
My friend was there visiting family and he said there was a whole street of people pulled over with cops just going down the line writing ticket after ticket. (about 12+ people I'd guess).
While passing through the cars parcked on the street, there were tickets on a lot of the cars windshields.
I once had a cop pull me over and tell me he caught me speeding 25mph over the speed limit and driving on the wrong side of the road.
He dropped it though when I asked him how he could of seen me from around the corner. (I spotted him about 3 houses down a side street when I passed by, he pulled me over a block past where he first saw me).
Really, its getting out of hand.
My step mom was chased down by some thugs on the 73 freeway in Newport Beach and they ended up trying to do a pick maneuver on her at 60+mph on it. She spun out once from it, and luckily didn't hit anything and was able to outpace them in her E500 and got away.
Where are the cops when you actually need them?
Oh yeah, they are at the local high school with 5+ squard cars to write tickets to jaywalkers and kids without helmets on bicylces leaving school.

They're also hanging out in front of Superior Court in downtown LA (illegally parked of course) to write jaywalking tickets. Good job guys.

My step mom is a very small Vietnamese woman in mid 50's. I think it had something to do with that.

Yesterday, I was coming home into my apartment complex and saw a patrol car going the other way. I live a block away from the P.D., so this is a recurring theme. Cautious as usual, I kept an eye on him, and low and behold the pig must have U-turned and I just got a glimpse of him pulling into the gated parking area. There was no one else around, so I figured he must be after me and my nixed front plate. Around town, I drive like a grandma with a case of milk in the trunk. I always fasten my seatbelt, always use the turn signals, rarely go > 5-10 mph over speed limit which is just to keep up with the flow, so it's nothing felonious I did, so I figured this ginius must have spotted my missing plate, my only outlaw badge. Anyway, as soon as I spotted him, I activated my bat-cave module (well ok, my handy dandy garage opener), and clicked it shut as I was pulling in. Stayed there for 15 minutes till he was gone. Why become an easy meal for these pigs?
And I'm not sorry for calling them pigs. I used to have the utmost respect for them. Orange County used to have the most professional and respectable police force that I had had the pleasure of dealing with, when I first moved here 15 years ago - and I’ve lived all around California. They were always courteous, helpful, respectful and always used their judgment as to who’s really a troublemaker and who’s just going about their business without endangering themselves or others.
But all I see these days is them harassing and victimizing (for the most part) law-abiding people, instead of going after gangsters, murderers, rapists and the real criminals, presumably for the sole purpose of raising revenue for the city. When was the last time you guys saw a Harley pulled over for loud exhaust? Or a Mercedes pulled over for missing plates? I see raised 4X4’s here all the time with the front bumper at about waist level. God forbid if one of those things has a side impact with a regular sedan or a sub-compact. I’ve never seen cops pull those things over. Instead they’ll pull ordinary working people for tint or cracked windshields or as in my case a couple of months ago, for completely bogus reasons. (see my previous post where I was cited for speeding when in reality I was on cruise control and it was impossible to have been gong at the speed the so-called officer claimed).. I’m sick and tired of it.
