Default So Cal Dyno Day???

Anybody interested in a dyno day at Church Automotive (Torrance/Wilmington area) or Strictly Dyno (SFV)?

Church Automotive will typically do groups of 10+ at $50 for 3 pulls with A/F measurements. They have a very accurate/repeatable Dynapac dyno.

I don't know the details on Strictly Dyno but its an option I could check out.

I'm definitely interested. Been dying to dyno since all my mods. Down for any date except for the 6/26 since that's the SB cruise. The sooner the better:

They closed up shop. From what I hear, there's a new place opening soon in or near canoga park.

With your popcharger and exhaust I can already tell you that you will throw down ~245hp on a dynojet, if your car is a 6mt anyway.

Its amazing how many bolt ons you can add to these motors and make next to nothing in power with them. Ive seen guys with $2-3k in bolt ons and software making only about 20hp over stock on the dyno.....needless to say, they were pretty dissapointed.

If you want big power, go FI. Its expensive but ultimately WAY cheaper than making "all motor" power.

If anyone is interested, the guys over at ClubLexus are trying to set up a dyno day set up at a place in Carson for 7/10, $40 for 3 runs.

I hear you Rick. Sometimes it just doesn't reach critical mass.

Mabey our luck will be different this time. I hope.

Well at least we have a group of people over on the G35DRIVER board who are also interested. Some signed on and some are interested. I posted this same thread over there and the general concensus is looking like Church Automotive with their new Dynapac machines.

I gotta admit I am biased towards Church auto. The owner Shawn doesn't need coaching on how to do a controlled dyno. And the dyna pacs require removal of the wheels so we will get better comparative results on engine to engine. ...So you won't need to put on your stock wheels/tires to run to the dyno.

July 9 or 16th? any preference?

Who's interested? Please put your name on the list.

1) kamz
2) zxsaint (July)
3) Hydrazine
4) Dsskyline

There are others on the G board who will sign on once the list starts getting bigger.

Singles are about $100 but you won't have to worry about being the only one. I'm going for sure. I got various different mods to test.

BTW anybody here with a 05 6MT track edition? I'll hook you up with a free plenum spacer if you can get it dynoed on the new lower plenum.
