I hope so Jeff since the news tends to think this was so close to the andreas that these may be foreshocks to a bigger one..

I would rather have a lot of small earthquakes then one f*ckin big one! It's actually good to have a lot of small earthquakes since it relieves pressure in the fault(s). I'd be more worried if we never had occational termors since I know it would be just building up more & more pressure.

As you guys are rockin' in So Cal, the people in Hawaii are on Tsunami watch.

You're never too far, or too near for a natural disaster...

skar718, I moved from the NY/NJ area last year and this week were my first two... a bit surprising at first but then it's over and no big deal... but think of it this way, no snow, no Nor'easters, no hurricanes, no humidity, a 5 second earthquake is a small price to pay.

Jeff
Considering the 7.9 in Chile, the 6.x in the Aleutians and the series of quakes in norcal and socal, this may be an indication of larger tectonic activity suggesting an impending very large one along active fault lines. The smaller ones in the area may not be to relieve stress but to indicate movement actually building up stress. There is a huge one on the horizon, that's why I'm taking the family to colorado. Get the hell out people, run for your lives.

Ok, sorry I have no idea what I'm talking about and I'm actually talking completely out of my ****. But I was hoping many of you would heed my advice to leave so that property values would decline allowing me to finally AFFORD A FREAK'N HOME IN SOCAL.

I'll take earthquakes over blizzards, tornados and hurricanes anyday.

Albert (had close calls with twisties and hurcanes and 3ft of snow... don't like em)

I don't know but I just got a call from my friend that there was an Earthquake a couple minutes ago. He is on the 2nd floor of an old building in Long Beach. hmmmm. So far I haven't felt any of these quakes. The last quake I actually felt was northridge.

......................................Is something wrong with me?

I live in Northridge, and i felt one last week on the 11th at 9:00a.m. (woke me up) and my friends thought I was crazy. Turns out there was a 2.3 in canoga park.
The next day, again...woke me up...this time at 8:40 turns out it was a 5.2 in Anza
I felt the one yesterday, none of em were really hard or anything, I just had to pause to figure out if it was an eathquake.
My room has double doors, and they kinda just "float", they arent really fixed to anything, so i hear these eathquakes before I feel em. every little thing.

It's the same site as vkzawa posted, this page lists them out
