I usually watch fireworks locally (i.e., Wilson Park in Torrance) but am considering exploring a bit this year. Does anyone have any good "vista points" in LA for fireworks?
Pacific palisades high school, it's off of Sunset kinda near the ocean. Free admittance, bring a picnic and a blanket and sit on the field. Their shows are pretty good!
Plus you will be right underneath the fireworks, so it's not some kind of vantage point.

Huntington Beach Pier...they block off the whole street for a fair, at night lay out in the sand and enjoy! Good for the whole family!
San Diego Fair Grounds.....Its their county fair and they have one of the best shows I have ever seen!

Most likely, I'll be checking out Paul Van Dyk at the L.A. Coliseum.
