12/11: Z Gathering
OK.. so I've been racking my brain why we can get 60 Z-folks to sign up for a parking lot GTG, but not for the Toys for Tots Show (which is essentially the same thing) I'm not hurting for show registration, I just like to see my fellow VQs attend. So, I've decided that I will try it the old fashioned way.
This is a signup for those that wish to attend a My350z get-together (which just happens to be at the Toys for Tots event!)
*You will not have to pay
*You will not have to sign up on our registration site (we will manually add you)
*You and your family may participate in all the activities as you like
*You may leave the event when you want.
*You may return to the event, but your parking in the "GTG Area" will not be guaranteed.
*I cannot host a cruise, as I will be busy with the show (someone else is more than welcomed to pick this up)
*I ask that you bring a toy for the Marine's campaign... but you don't have to. However, everyone else that does will think that you are cheap and boost one of your clear corners to put up on ebay to score cash to buy some poor kid a couple of hotwheel 350z's.
*Food and restrooms are available.
*Santa Claus will be dropping by
*There are some awesome raffle items for the 350z!
Date:
Sunday Dec 11th, 2005
Time:
Meet at 10am (one hour earlier than the show starts, 2 hours after the show participants load-in)
Show ends at 3pm
Location:
Pacific Palms Conference Resort
One Industry Hills Parkway
City of Industry, CA
For more info (or to register for actual "SHOW" participation)

Ted,
You ARE the deal! How nice for you to do this for peeps.
I'm surprised too about the lack of meet / show participation because OC & LA county are the G&Z enthusiasts! That's why I (From San Diego county) am always doing car stuff with OC & LA folk - not a lot going on in SD that I know of. I'll do my best to pass this on at the SoCal Cruise & Crystal Cove meet tomorrow.

Thank you so much!!! It's not like there's a lack of participation from the scene "as a whole". It's just that folks know we (team transport) have a big footprint on My350z and G35Driver. Last year was pathetic with how many G drivers bailed out on the show. At least My350z showed up! This year has been relatively quiet from both forums.
On the show side of things, we know we won't get a lot of Euro's, as they have their own non-show GTG over in Woodland Hills... but they do go out in force. They like being surrounded by the Exotics. Our folks just don't go out. Must be the stigma of a "charity" event or that there is a show connected to it? The show is the way we can cross team/vehicle/geographic boundaries and get sponsors. We couldn't do have of what we do without the show aspect.
I'm still scratching my head trying to figure it out. Both years I've had special areas for NON SHOW/GTG parking, but Z/G folks just don't seem to be very interested. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd sure like to hear them. PM if you like.
Team Transport appreciates every one of you going out of your way to help Toys for Tots (not just the show and GTGs), but the actual charity, be a success this year.
Cheers, Ted
