Default 350Z Racing on SPEED Tonight

According to www.SPEEDTV.com, the SCCA T2 race from the National Championship Runoffs at Mid-Ohio will air on SPEED Channel "tonight" at 1:00 am PST. Set your VCR's or TiVo's to record this race where the Z's duke it out with Evo's, STi's, SRT4's, S2000's, Boxters, Camaros, Firebirds, M3's, RX-8's and even a Cadillac CTS-V (42 cars in all). I won't tell you who won, but the action should be good fun to watch.

Anyone else glad that the NASCAR season is over? I'm just glad to see a race with cars doing more than left turns. Not knockin' NASCAR, just tired of the non-stop NASCAR related shows on SPEEDTV.

This is good stuff, thanks for the heads up. Too bad I can't finish it.

I'm not familiar with SCCA racing. What type of mods do these cars have? What type of suspension would a 350 be running here?

The modifications are relatively limited in T2. You can add an air filter, cat-back exhaust, remove the AC, dampers (w/ stock springs & bars in most cases), brake pads, wheels, tires and that's about it. The Z is alowed Nismo springs and bars, oil coiler, power steering cooler, etc. The Track model is what you'd start with to get the nice brakes. Here's a link to the rules package:
http://www.scca.com/_FileLibrary/File/Touring.pdf

Other SCCA Club Racing rules can be found at:

I agree 100% They need to make a NASCAR channel and keep SpeedTV Nascar free! No offense to you NASCAR guys!

You didn't miss much, lots of accidents!!! a few involving z's, they only show the front running pack, 1. wrx 2. wrx 3. camero.. the first z was like 18th.. not show why the bad showing, but the wrx was VERY impressive, great driver.

Eh, I still would have enjoyed it. I love my Z, but I'm genetically programed to cheat on her every once in a while. It's OK though, because she takes me back everytime.
