Ed at Brainstorm did the install for me contact Chris to get an estimate on how much they will charge.
my 60' foots went from 2.1 to 1.66 (best one....) on ET Street's and I hit 1.7's on BFG DR's ---note I'm turboed so you might not get quite down there....

Hahaha! That would be cool but i don't think its going to cut a second off your time. Turbo does that sort of thing.
I'm thinking on the order to 1-3 tenths, but we'll see.

be careful with slicks though unless you're getting reinforced Rear Axles as well.
I'd suggest a pair of DR's if you still have stock axles. You can get very similar results on them

I suppose he could launch at street tire RPM's to reduce the shock.

Launch at 2500 RPM won't make for record times, but at least it would be good for testing purposes and not break drive train parts.

I'm getting 1.7 60's with both slicks or DR's also if gets dr's he can mount them on regular wheels instead of having to invest in welds and then deal with having to get longer wheel studs and shaving them...
I got kicked out of LACR for having too short wheel studs and had to get the 60 mm Nismos but they are about 5 mm too long for the weld lug nuts and so would shave off all the time.
I'd suggest DR's for now

Slicks are defintely better. I'm just saying if you want to go that route you need to invest into a few more things than just the tires in order to have a safe stable ride.
Also I am running 15" DR's (basically same setup as slicks) which gives you a bit more of the soft sidewall than if you run larger ones.
