Default Performance Nissan Meet !!becareful!!

Hey guys, former G35 owner here. I now drive a M45 but still check the forum often. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up about the meet at Citrus college this weekend. My cousin is a officer of the law serving the city of Glendora for several years. I saw him over the weekend for a family gathering and I told him about my plans next weekend which is going to check out the nissan meet at the Citrus college. Apparently, he knew all about the meet and from what he said they have been getting objectives to crack down on smog illegal motor vehicles, I think what he meant as illegal aftermarket performance parts. He would not tell me the whole detail but from what he said they have a force planned to visit the meet mainly for illegal aftermarket exhaust and SR20DET motors. But will def cite vehicles with aftermarket parts that does not have a valid Carb EO. When I asked him for more detail it seems that they have something in planning for this weekend at the Citrus college but would not disclose. He also said that the city have gotten too many complaints regarding exhaust noise and air pollution, and that they do not welcome modified vehicles in the city. He said they went as far as getting printouts of 240sx engine bays for factory parts comparison. Just wanted to let you guys know, I am not worried because I am driving a factory M45. But several of my other friends with turbo G35's and 240sx have decided to take other mean of transportation there because they know I never lie. Well, take this as you wish but I am not the one there to say I told you so.

Have a safe weekend.

Performance Nissan is a private property. Can the cop just come in and gives out citation or they wait outside?

The meet is at the Citrus College but I thinks that's still private property. I don't know if they could just transpass and cite people... I really hope they find better things to do like arresting robbers and thiefs!!!!! Crime rate in Glendora is not low and they are worring about modified cars.. Jesus.

Ours in on rented college grounds...

Just dont come into the meet and leave showing off the sound of your exhaust or doing burn outs etc....

If you do something like that, you give them a reason...

We have many officer's who are good customers of ours with 350Z's and G35's who will be attending...

Sucks to hear, but hopefully it shouldn't be that bad.

just hope they don't wait outside and pull over before you get into the parking area. It happened once up north at one of the meet. The majority of citation was "no front plate", "tint window". Not a big deal but it sure ruining the fun.

Although I doubt its going to happen for this meet it did happen at Hot Import Days in SD at Qualcom. But mostly they were pulling people over for stolen engines or something like that.

Jason is right, just dont drive like an a$$hole or rev your motor and you will be fine. They arent going to have the manpower to inspect every car. This isn't the first time something like this has happened. Don't let it scare you into not coming or not driving your Z....

Jason, you should hand out CARB stickers at the meet

I already stressed on our LA/OC/SB caravan for everyone to act like adults and drive responsilby and we should have no problems at all. I myself have to remember to put on my front plate so I don't have no problems. I remember the Turbonectics meet where they asked for everyone to please not drive like maniacs and guess what a lot of cars were driving fast down the streets just after the TN guys pleaded not to. If we want another meet from Performance we should all be respectfull to the city and neighbors of the area.....
