I really think Odom is worth it too. If he plays like he did yesterday that is. Caron Butler, I think he was a pretty good player also. We got the short end of the Kwame Brown trade. I think we could have gotten more for him and chucky. I wish the lakers would have went after Flash. OMG.

Shaq even though hes slowing down is still worth having on your team. He draws so much attention that it opens the floor for Kobe. But whats done is done. ITs still one of the most dumbest trades ever. You just dont trade away the most dominant player.

rumor has it odom, slava, and bynum along with 1st round pick for garnett. Garnett is not too happy in Minnesota. hows smush, kobe, george, garnett, and mihm sound?

Everything but the 1st round sounds good. Maybe throw in georges expiring contract instead. Only if this were true.

Last night was good defensive game. If we can keep up with the defense the lakers would make it past the first round.

My take on the team:

Kobe, great as always. He has that sweet stroke that jordan used in his fade aways. He needs to do more of the things you dont see on the stat sheet.

Lamar, what a inconsistent player. I could see him as the scottie pippen of the current lakers, but he needs to complete his shots.

Smush, he gets OWNED on the defensive end. Everyone seems to blow right by him. Great potential.

I wish that the Lakers were more of a defensive minded team. Another thing is that when Kobe dishes out the ball, his teammates DO NOT Finish at the offensive end. You cant expect a team to rely on one man for an offensive weapon. Right now the lakers arent balanced out enough to succeed in the postseason. just my 2 cents.

BTW, I love the lakers!

man, Terry Teagle was the go-to guy back then...I can remember that unorthodox over the head jump shot that he would sink everytime!!!

I wouldn't give up Bynum in that trade. That kid has too much potential. Throw in George or anyone else but Bynum.

initially, the lakers wanted Wade in the trade for shaq but the Heat did not want to let him go. Lakers should have pushed for Odom and Wade for Shaq but instead we got chucky, odom, brian grant, caron butler.

Also I think the possiblity of Lakers landing Chris Bosh is pretty good. Phil Jackson still expressess his feelings in acquiring him during his up coming free agency time. That's why he got fined. Lakers can make room and offer Bosh a decent amount. KG is out of the question due to his expected pay. Unless he takes a veterans pay as did payton and malone...

KG would be pretty nice...but it'd be hard for me to let go of Bynum. Bynum definitely has too much potential!

i agree about bynum's potential but this is KG. A proven MVP 22/12/5/2/1 guy. team him up with kobe and i think it'll be better than shaq and kobe. garnett works hard so kobe will respect him.

WHO CARES!! They will be lucky to make the playoffs and forget making it past the first round. Even if they decide to play defense!! They are going to play the number one seed. Lucky if they don't get swept.

Well...we've got one W in Dallas, and another W here in LA against Dallas. Kobe went off in both of these games. 41 and 62. Nowitzki had like 18 points I think in the last game we played against Dallas. We can definitely beat Dallas.

Let's focus on tonight though fellow Lakers! We're 1 for 2 I believe this season against Sac. after the OT loss last month. Bibby had 40 points in this game...but in our preseason W against the Kings he had 20. Gotta stop Bibby! That guy is one hell of a ball player though...you gotta give it to him.
