Not going, but a quick note about Angeles crest - Cops like to hide out on the turnouts and be careful of dumb motorcyclists who take their corners too wide. Drive safe and have fun!
PS. Initial D fans might enjoy taking angeles crest downhill at 3 AM. Very high speed and tight.

I'd love to... but as you already know, Brent... I'm off to Vegas for the entire weekend.
I feel so bad I never end up making it to the runs you plan!!!

Also, I think you should change the time to after midnight or around there cuz there'll be less cars and also a lot less cops.

Got your msg, Snoopy.
I went onto a site about Angeles Crest by bikers, since I've never driven it, to learn more about it. They claimed a lot of cops with strict strict enforcement and a lot of accidents by weekend motorcyclists. ?? true ??
Also, how long is the run? The site said about 66 miles, but wasn't clear if that was one way or round trip. Also, I dont know where it starts and ends - the map I saw indicated it started by the 210 in Pasadena and went into the San Bernardino mtns?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm not sure how many people I can muster - had coffee w/mastakillaz and he is getting killed with work.
I'll try though - just need more info.

Angeles Crest either brings you to the mountains, or you can take a turnoff that goes straight to Palmdale... right to LACR too! Same street. Anyway, if you want something different afterward, you can drive the I-5 down afterward.
There are accidents at Angeles cuz bikers can be dumb and fly off the cliffs, going too fast. That's why I suggest going at night cuz there aren't many bikers (actually, I've never seen any at night), and usually not many cops past the first couple of make out points. The only cars at night are usually cars looking for a little "fun".

I have to agree that Angeles Crest is probably the worst place if you want to do high speed runs during the weekend due to the cops and bikes. On a weekday however, its a blast.

Okay, Pasadena Z has confirmed Sunday is good. ZxSaint can't do Saturday, maybe he can do Sunday. Iris is good either day at 9am or 10am. RobertL is up for the morning. Masta unfortunately, is out.
I guess this means Sunday is the day. Shall we meet up at Jerry's in Encino again between the hours of 9am and 10am?
Time:
February 2, 2003. 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Location:
Jerry's Deli
16650 Ventura Blvd.
Encino, CA
818-906-1800
Run through Angeles Crest. Lunch at restaurant up there around noon.
SnoopyZ, Unho, are you guys down?
