Default I feel SO lucky to be from So Cali!

I've just browsed through some of the other regional forums, and I just had to say that.

We have the most meets going on... Also the most active thread.

Not only do we have the most Z's in the nation, but we have the most outgoing people that want to meet and share the joy of our cars...

Kudos!

I think it's because LA is a 1) a large city and 2) a car culture city. You have to have a car to bein LA. Add to that the attention to self image (take that for what it's worth) and the fact that we have great weather year round (and it's much easier to care for cars here since very little rain, no snow, no salt)...and we've got great roads to drive on...

Oh, and my Sunset Touring is gonna look REALLY good pictured next to the beach...

AND everyone in California is a little nutty anyway ...=)

Couldn't agree more. Do come to the OC meet so you can take that beach front picture!

Sounds like we need to have a little welcoming party.

I still think Cali should be divided into two states. That way we in northern Cali could tax you SoCal guys for sending the water down to provide some moisture for the desert ya all live in! (We would, of course, create an exception for all Brick owners).

And do you guys still wear white plastic shoes?

LOL!

For the record, I had a great time hosting a meet up in the Bay Area over this winter break. I love the SoCal scene, but up in the bay they were very hospitable and damn they've got some good roads!

jedi,

Pacific Beach was my first Cali landing spot when I moved out in the 70s. Loved it. If your planning to buy a house, though, I suspect you might be in for sticker shock........since PB is near the ocean. Lajolla would be even worse.

From NYC to Lajolla? You must be livin' right!!

I love living in Cali too... born and raised... love to travel to other places, but it's nice to call this place home... couple of things though, traffic is getting out of hand... rush hour traffic on the weekends... and insurance rates... OMG... plus, since californians aren't used to rain it seems like anytime a drop falls from the sky, some people forget how to drive... but guess you gotta take the good with the bad...
