Default My Debit Card got charged- Perf. Nissan being hacked???

Guys,

I was checking my account and found a negative balance.

Call up wamu and they say its a pending charge (not posted yet) coming from westernunion.com.

I cannot dispute yet because it hasn't been posted. Sad thing is they cannot stop the process until it is posted-wtf???

Beware guys. I am calling perf. nissan.

should have canceled the card. 2 minutes with cusomer service would save you a lot of trouble

They mailed out a letter like a week ago. I cancelled my credit card immediately. Good luck!

Guys,

Should I waste my time calling western union or should I just let my bank handle it once the transaction is posted (its in pending state).

I am afraid to give my personal info. to western union man.

Damn...sorry about that bro. Yeah, I cancelled mine the second I got the letter

Just let your bank take care of it. Western Union won't be able to do anything anyway. You'll have to go to your bank though to fill out some forms (affidavit) indicating this was fraudulent activity.

Whats up guys, Tony (used to be from Performance) here. Even I got the letters in the mail lol. I had to cancel my cards and get new ones as well. But just keep an eye on things, change what cards you can. And can't wait for the new site to be up

Damm, sorry to hear that. I don't know which credit card I used.
I guess I'll need to find out and cancel it.

I got my letter a few days after the postings here. Didn't see any odd charges on mine, it was a credit card. Cancelled it right away, waiting on new one.

I requested two credit cards to be cancelled, this is troublesome, but since someone has been charged already, this is necessary to protect us so we don't let the credit card scammer get what they want!

hope this won't happen again...

There's absolutely NO REASON credit cards should be stored in on online DB!

I know mistakes happen but this is BS...BIG TIME!!

I know I will never use them again.

As John Goodman in The Big Lebowski would say,

FUKKING AMATEURS!

In all honesty, I would be very reluctant to buy anything from performance nissan again. I find it kinda deceitful that they would store our credit card # without informing us. I mean, other site has options if we want it stored or not and I always check NO for reasons such as this. PN seems to be very reputable, but this is unacceptable and inconvenient, esp for people who got their cards charge. I've order thousands of stuff online over many years and from all sort of sites, and this is the first time something like this has happened.

I got burnt also guys. I had to cancel 1 card. But did it ASAP. Also I do computer consulting and the e-commerce software they where using was open source.(Oscommerce). I have played around with it for demo purposes but knew that it stored credit card numbers. I hope they fired the guy who created their site.
