if youve got cash try Skip Barber's racing school, but otherwise theres no manual that will teach you how to drive except for driving the damn thing

I think he knows how to drive manual, he just wants to get better. I'm really now sure how a performance driving class is going to help you, except maybe they'll show you how to double clutch and rev match when downshifting, but you can learn that on your own.

anyway, here's link to a HPDE class: http://www.buttonwillowraceway.com/clinic.htm

You might want to get your manual driving down before you try out any clinic.

That's too much money spent on time you could of used to better your cornering and handling technique.

I'm also interested in derek daly's school in vegas as I hear you get more seat time than compared to skip barber.

Evolution driving school is supposed to be pretty good and much more price conscious. A single day session runs about $200. The only thing is that they don't seem to have that many socal events, and the events they do have fill up rather quickly.

I've wanted to take that evo class a few times since I posted this back in august, but their schedule never agrees with me.

Need to practice drive a manual tranny? Get a job as a valet, you'll learn the feel of all sorts of different cars.

Thats how I learned!

A great place for a beginner to learn is the Buttonwillow Performance Driving Clinic. Even if you're not an expert at shifting a manual transmission, you'll gain a lot from the instructors, who are all real racers with years of experience.

http://drivingconcepts.com/ offers a good program, but typically, as with most other performance driving school/courses, experience with a manual transmission is usually a given before entering
