Performance Driving Classes?? (learning manual??)
hi, ive been hearing about ppl saying to get signed up for classes before getting some real speed, etc, and im wondering, does anyone know any classes in OC/Irvine area. I am fairly new to Manual Transmission, and want to go to a class where i will basically learn manual pretty well, and etc..im not sure what its called? a Performance Drive Class? or something? haha, thanks for any input in advanced.

I think he knows how to drive manual, he just wants to get better. I'm really now sure how a performance driving class is going to help you, except maybe they'll show you how to double clutch and rev match when downshifting, but you can learn that on your own.

A great place for a beginner to learn is the Buttonwillow Performance Driving Clinic. Even if you're not an expert at shifting a manual transmission, you'll gain a lot from the instructors, who are all real racers with years of experience.

http://drivingconcepts.com/ offers a good program, but typically, as with most other performance driving school/courses, experience with a manual transmission is usually a given before entering
