got revved on...by another Z!!!
so im going to pick my GF so we can head out the the DJ Quik show at the HOB here in SD. and im just cruisin minding my business on East H Street in Chula. next thing i know im at the light and this guy in a SS Z throws the hardest rev that has been thrown on me in a while. i look over immediately and say "whats up, hos it going?" i get the same responce.
my point is, we have the SAME cars, give each props, and DO NOT disrespect. the Subir guys has this thing, they all chuck a duece when they pass, and its all love.

Well, I've always considered a rev a nice way to say hello
My horn doesn't work, and flashing my brights at someone can be annoying, so a quick rev of the engine seems appropriate
When we run the mountains or are at the track, we use the engine sound a lot to communicate with the other cars...
I think a lot has to do with how you make eye contact and if you smile and say hello, it's always much nicer

i don honk b/c honkin, i consider rude. i either nod, waive, give a thumb up... or if the guy isn't looking, i rev to get his attention.

there are alot of Z's on the roads that arent friendly, i do recall getting revved at alot especially when mines was stock-looking, cut off quite a few times but i just figure theyre probably "childish" and dont really mind them, honestly i think i can say i gotten more love w/ commradery from fellow Supra drivers than Z folks but then again i havent really run into any of you fellas on here and alot of Z guys are older men ... so yeah i think its funny though when i get harrased by civics etc, i used to own a civic Si w/ type R goodies yet i know its limits yesterday i ended up playing with a blue civic Si on the 5 fwy my 3rd gear just owned him would pop it into 3rd accelerate and he couldnt keep up, so id break sprint again then after the 3rd time poor guy gave up... shoulda bought a Z brotha !!!
i guess reving depends if they laugh, smirk or depending on their body language tells you whether its an insult or props

If it's the same car I wouldn't take it as a "dis" at all. More like a "woohooo" since you have nothing to really prove.
Now if a Camaro SS rolled up and ripped one out of it's tale pipes I'd be like,
"Well gawwwt dayam...them fightin' words!"

Rev, honk, flash... its all good! Don't take it so personal. Just guys on the road being guys. If you feel like your getting dissed then show the guy what you got or trade in your Z for a Hyundai. Its like a gorilla pounding his chest. You are either intimidated by the big bad silverback or you pound your chest and show your teeth and earn some respect. I rev and have been revved on. Don't matter what kind of car it is. I just see it as another opportunity to drive fast...

Not always the same car though. I know that there are some Z's that can beat mine, but you never know which ones until you run 'em. I like to hear a god sounding engine and if he's saying whats up then I will do the same and if he wants to run I will if the time is right!

I don't see it as dissing at all. I find it fun to come up to a stoplight next to a fellow Z, rev, have 'em rev back, and wave. And.. maybe.. sometimes race.. only up to the speed limit though..

VQ responds with, "Hey..*swallow* nice to meet you too kind sir."
